CALIFORNIA INNOVATION CORRIDOR RECOGNIZES BUSINESS.COM AS 'INNOVATION ALL-STAR'

Governor's Commission for Jobs and Economic Growth Sponsors California Innovation Awards Honoring Top Businesses

Santa Monica, Calif., Apr. 24, 2007 – Business.com today announced its selection as one of the California Innovation Corridor's 75 Innovation All-Stars. Business.com will be honored at the two-day California Tech 100 Conference on April 24-25 at the Irvine Hilton/Orange County Airport.

The California Tech 100 is endorsed by the California Commission for Jobs and Economic Growth. The commission will honor the awardees with the California Innovation Award for their outstanding leadership in this area during a special late-afternoon ceremony on April 25. The commission chose Business.com as an All-Star out of more than 300 nominations.

"Business.com's selection as one of the inaugural Innovation All-Stars demonstrates our commitment to helping busy business decision makers in California and across the country quickly find everything they need to manage and grow their businesses through our industry-leading business search engine," said Jake Winebaum, founder and CEO of Business.com.

"We believe innovation and entrepreneurship are the drivers of economic growth in California," added Mark Mosher, executive director of the California Commission for Jobs and Economic Growth, a nonprofit corporation whose members are chosen by the governor to advise him on how to expand jobs and economic growth in the state. "These Innovation All-Stars are models for our state."

Managed by the California Space Authority (CSA), and administered through the California Labor & Workforce Development Agency (LWDA), the California Innovation Corridor is one of the state's initiatives to foster innovation and includes more than 60 partner organizations throughout 13 counties. Corridor partners reviewed nearly 300 nominees before reducing the list to 75 Innovation All-Stars.
