Businesses just getting started on Facebook can often feel like they're fighting an uphill battle.
Though opportunities abound, it can be challenging to know exactly where to start, as this week's question from Katyan Roach displayed:
"How do small businesses get their message out, especially if they don't have a large marketing budget?"

Start With Your Email List(s)
First, we're going to start by inviting your existing email contacts.
Go to your page and click on the three dots to the right of the "Message" button, and select "Suggest Page."
From here, you can upload your email lists. If you're already using email marketing, those lists can be accessed directly through your provider, whether it be your email accounts like Gmail, or ESP's like Constant Contact or MailChimp. You can upload up to 5,000 contacts through this option.

Create Custom Audiences
Next, you're going to go into the Ads Manager, and under the heading "Tools," you'll want to select "Audiences." Then select "Create Audience" and "Custom Audience." This will allow you to upload additional lists.
From here, you'll be able to upload any additional lists you may have outside of email. You can also upload additional information for your customers.
The reason you'll want to create these custom audiences is that you can target them using Facebook advertising, even with a minimal budget. On Facebook, a little bit goes a long way, so you don't need to have deep pockets to find success.
