In a recent survey commissioned by the American Psychological Association, 65 percent of Americans cited work as a leading source of stress, and almost two-thirds said they're not doing a good job of coping with the avalanche of work heading their way.
What does this mean for you?
If you're not equipped to manage workplace stress, your colleagues will begin to notice; then your supervisor. Stress isn't good for your health, either. Or your sanity Isn't it time you began controlling your day instead of letting it control you.
Keep your sanity (and your job!) by using these insanely cool time-management apps:
This app runs in the background of your desktop computer or mobile device, and is able to track the amount of time you spend on a given website or app. You can allocate a certain amount of time, and then set a Rescue Time alert, so you know when you've reached your limit.
Certain social-media websites proving a distraction? Rescue Time can block them, no questions asked. Premium is $9/month and includes more bells and whistles, such as reports documenting how you're really spending your time. Apple, Android, and Desktop.
Toggl is time tracking software that offers online time tracking and reporting through its website – for both mobile and desktop applications. Toggl tracks time based on tasks and projects, either through a task-timer or manual entry.
Once a project is completed, you press the stop button. The time you spent is recorded and placed on the time-sheet, enabling you to continue working on the project at a later point. This is especially useful for public-relations agencies and other consultancies that bill their clients on an hourly basis.
The company touts Toggl as “insanely simple time-tracking” that will make time sheets obsolete. Who doesn't want that! Users pay $5 per month for full features.

How does Launchy work?
After indexing the programs in your start menu, it takes just a few keystrokes to launch your files and folders, even your bookmarks – in just a few keystrokes. Start by entering the first few letters of your file, and Launchy instantly displays the full name. You simply press Enter to launch it. If the displayed name isn't what you're looking for, a drop-down list with other options soon appears.
Am I leaving anything out? Right, Launchy also received the Five-Star Editors' Rating from CNET.
