Anthuriums are an unusual plant that comes in both flowering varieties and foliage types. The flowering variety has brightly colored spates which resemble the leaves in size and shape but usually bright reds and oranges. They are highlighted by what appears to be a spike or tail, also brightly colored. These plants enjoy warm temperatures and high humidity as they originate in tropical rain forests.
