Are you interested in computer programming languages? Programming language is a language designed to denote computations that will be performed by a machine or which describe a machine's performance. The first languages of this nature were used to describe the mechanisms of looms or pianos for instance and were not used to instruct these machines. Today it most often refers to computation and how a program or computer performs certain tasks based on user input.
There are thousands of programming languages, and more are created every year, so you have quite a few options. Most of these languages contain two elements, syntax which is the form and semantics which is naturally the meaning. Some of the things you will want to consider when either choosing a language for a program or if you are considering becoming familiar with how to write the language are the performance of the programming and whether the tasks expected of any machine or program will run efficiently with the particular underlying code, and its compatibility. Beyond this there are different conflicting views on which language is more suitable in particular instances.
Learning about the different programming languages prior to choosing one may be beneficial. Business.com provides links to sources that may have more on the subject.
