The Best Access Control Systems of 2021

The Verdict

IDenticard’s PremiSys access control system is a great option if you want to customize your employees' physical credentials to better promote your brand. This company offers quality hardware and software to help you create a safe, secure facility.

IDenticard Options and Plans

There are three versions of PremiSys:

  • PremiSys LT offers up to eight doors, one user interface and the mobile app.
  • PremiSys offers up to 40 doors, up to three user interfaces, the mobile app and ID badge creation.
  • PremiSys Pro offers unlimited doors and user interfaces, as well as the mobile app and ID badge creation.

Features

IDenticard offers a variety of physical credentials, including encrypted smart cards that you can personalize with your brand and a photo of the employee. This feature is excellent if you want a unique ID badge for your employees. IDenticard also sells accessories, such as lanyards and protective sleeves for ID badges.

Along with door alarms, video feeds, and access control for doors and other entry points, the system offers Rack Armor data protection. This lets you monitor who physically interacts with your servers and gives only authorized people access to work on them.

IDenticard doesn't have any features that integrate with fire, carbon monoxide or hold-up alarms. The system does have a lockdown feature, and you can immediately suspend credentials during an emergency situation or if you note suspicious activity.

The PremiSys access control system offers comprehensive reporting, including which doors have been used with what credentials. You can set the system to void inactive cards and specify the amount of time a door can be left open before an alarm is triggered. These customizations allow you to set the level of security you want. The system is also available over a smartphone app that allows you to unlock doors and authorize credentials from your mobile phone. Our experience with this company's customer service was positive. The agents we reached were transparent, polite and helpful. However, be aware that IDenticard does not offer 24/7 support or live chat.
