How do I add content to my website?
Ive just read that adding your own content to a website is a great way to use keywords to increase your ranking. I also read you can outsource the writing of these articles to other sites like odesk.
Does anyone know which software is best to add an article or do I simply add it as an additional web page to my site?
Anyone have experience of hiring writers from odesk or élance - how would they write if they're not experts?
your website build by coding then the content can upload in HTML language in backhand. if your website made in WordPress then you can edit your page and can upload a content.
It's best to create a blog with either your best or your least selling products. If you're working with an SEO it would be easier for you to find out which product you want to focus on. If you want to try how blogs would help your business, I would suggest to get a "guest" blogger and see how that goes. If it greatly affects your web traffic that would be the best time to get an in house content writers.
My suggestion is to create an additional web page on your site. This works best if you also want to generate traffic to other blogs.
Try WordPress. We are using WordPress for our online software store and its currently doing great wonders.
A content management system (CMS) is the best solution for your need.
It will allow you to change, add and remove content on your website without touching the code. A CMS offers a user-friendly dashboard to manage all the content on your website. You can compare it with social media websites like Facebook. If you know how to use Facebook, then you can manage a website's content using a CMS.
Generally, we use existing CMS like WordPress and Joomla to add CMS to a website. You can create a custom CMS for your website if you wish but will be very expensive.
I recommend WordPress. We integrate WordPress CMS to most websites we create at our web design company in Chennai, https://spidergems.com. It helps our clients (site owners) to make changes in the websites without technical assistance.
So, if you want the feature to add content on your website, you can hire a web developer and ask him/her to convert your website into a WordPress website. The cost may vary based on the place and size of the website.
WordPress is not the only CMS out there but personally, I like it. It's very popular. In fact, it powers around 1 quarter of all websites on the internet.
I would not suggest you seek any freelancers if you know your job or niche. You basically can't find a copywriter for less money. So would be great to start on your own.
I would suggest a software which can help you a lot but mainly they are Article Buddy, Grammarly, and WordAI.

Content is a great way to get more buzz online and drive more traffic to your site if that content is also published to your social media. So here are our top tips on the things that need to be done on your site to stay on top of the hill in the search results.
1. Google Likes Fresh Content And Your Clients & Potential Clients Do As Well.
If you want your website to be a destination page that not only gets people to visit but more importantly keep people coming back over and over, it is crucial to provide new fresh content. This can be in the form of a blog article or simply new pages built into your site, or at the very least links to industry articles on other sites that provide value to your visitors.
Your visitors love free tips, valuable information, and constant updates, and so does Google. If you are not doing this type of website maintenance, you will start to slide down the hill for sure. A great tip is to watch what all of the sites that come up on page 1 in the first, second are the third spot are doing on their sites and mirror those techniques.
2. Update Your Social Media Content With The Same New Content In Your Site.
Don’t wait for people to find all of your great new information on your website; it is imperative to push it to all of your social media channels as well to drive even more traffic back to your site. We have some awesome WordPress plugins built into our site, that when we publish a blog post, it automatically updates all of our social media channels with that post. It helps with our website maintenance to have these plugins, but more importantly, all of our new fresh content is not alone in just our website, it has been blasted out to close to 100 sites.
3. Use Google Console (formerly Webmaster Tools) To Ensure Your Site Is Compliant.
Now called Google Search Console this is a wonderful free tool that allows you to do many things in order to manage and maintain your SEO campaigns. You can submit sitemaps that make it easier for Google to scan all of the pages of your site. It allows you to see any errors on your site and even fix them to ensure you are 100% compliant. The Search Console also provides a detailed traffic report telling you virtually everything you need to know about your traffic.

Hey Sean,
Why don't you install and configure some good content management system that will help manage your content. The most popular CMS being "Wordpress"- https://wordpress.org/ built on PHP, has a huge community and when you’re ready for more there are thousands of plugins and themes.
If your website is hosted on a "Content Management System" (CMS) like say, WordPress, you can simply add your unique content by signing in, going to the dash board & adding a new page. Every website is hosted on a platform where there is scope of modifying & adding content/new pages. Do find out which one your website works on & go ahead with putting in the right key words to increase ranking
You should hire a writer who has adequate knowledge of Search engine Optimization (SEO) techniques who will help you find the right keywords for your business content and help you optimize your webpage for better ranking in Search engines.
You can add content different ways depending upon whether your website is simple html or using a cms like wordpress, drupal, etc.
If it's html yes add pages, if its a cms generally there are "posts" or a related option for adding articles or blogs.
You would do so from the admin panel of your website or using an ftp program. As for hiring writers, depending upon the topics you'll find experts in every field writing freelance these days, as a result you won't have difficulty finding good content writers.
Simply link your articles to your website by using simply software application tools linked to your website.
Sean ...If you are not comfortable writing or with marketing in general, it would be better that you hire a marketing consultancy to assist you because there is a lot more to adding 'articles' to your website's content than most think.
1. There needs to be a brand voice.
2. There needs to be a strategy. How do you want to be perceived? What type of content is your target audience looking for to help them make their purchasing decision? Is it purely written articles, or do you need videos, ebooks, newsletter, calculators, apps, infographics, etc.?
3. You need an editorial calendar. This will help you layout a plan of attack for developing your content and give you focus.
4. You need to determine what keyword(s) you want to rank for. Have you created a keyword tree consisting of single words, and 2-, 3-, and 4-word longtail strings around your location, services and audience?
5. Your articles need to be relevant to your target audience and their pain points otherwise ranking for the sake of ranking is going to get you no return on your investment.
Using a series of copywriters from a variety of services, will only lead to a disjointed brand voice and messaging. Furthermore, the writers need to know about your industry to help you write and develop your content. Lastly, you will need to give them direction and provide supervision for a successful article and relationship.
Hey there Sean.
As a CEO of a web development company, I've got a little useful information for ya. The very first question for you is "What is your website built with?" If it is WordPress, don't waste your time hiring someone to add the articles, you can do it yourself very easily. If it is WordPress, message me and I'll give you a step by step how-to.
If it isn't WordPress, I would first consider investing in a new website. WordPress will greatly expand the possibilities of your online presence and keep you from spending extra money on things you shouldn't have to spend it on.
Read http://zerozendesign.com/low-cost-web-design/wordpress/ to help you understand a little more about WordPress. It's a quick little article we whipped up.
Article writing is a bit of a touchy thing because there are a lot of people out there "spinning" articles. Spinning is simply taking an already published article, running it through a script, or program, and then selling you the result. The articles read horribly and are very amateur.
There are, however some article writing services out there that will do a good job for around 3 bucks an article. Check out http://www.hirewriters.com/.
Lastly - Make sure your articles are well researched before writing. Every article you add to your site should contribute to your SEO. You can use https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner for finding your target SEO keyword phrase and then find longtail keywords related to that main keyword phrase. A long-tail keyword is basically a supporting keyword. An example might be:
Main - "website hosting"
Long-Tails - "cheap website hosting", "web design"
Writing for SEO requires a little up front research. Otherwise, you are just wasting time and money.
Hope all this helps! Message me if you have any questions at all. If you want to hire me. Push the green button.
Hi Sean,
Hire an expert either in odesk or elance both are very good in having very good writers. But before hiring a wirter view some sample articles of their work, make one on one with them to know about what you are exactly need from them. Will the recruting person is worth for your website.
Don't count on oDesk or Elance for "experts" in a particular field. Just hire native English speaking writers who know how to conduct research and incorporate it without plagiarizing. Request a small writing sample on a topic that you supply to prospective hires. Be willing to pay more for unique, high-quality writing.
I use Wordpress as the website domain for my blog as well. I use a separate page on my site labelled blog and for each blog I write, it is also posted to my LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter pages so I reach the maximum audience. I also use tags and categories to make my blogs easily searchable. It has helped my blog gain a permanent following. So yes to answer your question, use articles on your site and link them to your social media platforms to reach a greater audience. Remember to tag your blogs. Hope this helps!
