Any recommendations for inexpensive conference calling and screen-sharing?
I've used UberConference, Google+ Hangouts, and Join.me, and all have their issues. UberConference's web UI is not good, it lacks flexibility for scheduling, and often has call quality issues. Hangouts is okay, but won't work for phone-only conferences. Join.me has a phone bridge, but requires that the host fire up the meeting on a computer.
Requirements would be:
- Dial-in number
- Web or mobile app for my international users
- Scheduling recurring meetings
- Relatively low cost for about 50 people
- Screen sharing is a big plus, but not a blocker
Notifications and automatic dialing out (like UberConference) would be a plus. So would Calendar integration. (We use Google Calendar right now.)
I use FreeConferencing.com and it does everything on your list. See the site's FAQ give it a test drive.
Hope this helps.

If you know of other resources I should add, LMK
Try Zoom. We have had great success with the application.
No sure of capabilities but this service has worked well for me
I've sold almost a million dollars using gotomeeting webinars. They are who I recommend hands down!
Really enjoy join.me for low cost conference calling along with screen sharing.
Just make sure to start the join.me app on any of the supported platforms to include dial-ins from voip.
for inexpensive conference calling and screen sharing, you can try vSee (www.vsee.com) for the free version.
Does not have dial-in-number. For this feature, there is no inexpensive service.
Give Any Meeting a try. It's free, unless you want to upgrade, which I've found no need to do.
I'm surprised no one mentioned FreeConference.com (voice only) or Skype. TeamViewer is another good one I use with or without microphone (free for personal use). Also Microsoft Live. Use your Outlook to schedule meeting with a URL included for the application you selected
There are so many options for this from the light weights like Skype through to the large scale and cost webex type capabilities. I selected gotomeeting for my own business and used that for the last 18 months. It's pretty good and I believe fairly priced. You can pay an single annual fee or by monthly instalments.
the web conference is free up to 100 and some up to 1000 ,goto meeting, webiner
I use GoToMeeting - yes it costs a little more, but they have a great partner program, so it winds up being free in the end (oftentimes, I even make money on it).
As others have mentioned, Freeconferencecall.com works well for conference calls. I've started using Fuze for webinars/screen sharing.
You want to look at two different solutions. Your conference calling solution would be focused on phone quality and ease, so will likely be different from your webinar solution - you can sacrifice some ease (more steps to connect, etc.) for the additional benefits.
Hi Jake, I'd recommend Cisco WebEx, they have affordable plans (free, for as few as 3 attendees at a time) for $19 - $39 per month for an annual plan where you can have as many as 8 - 25 attendees / $69 per month annual for 100 people per mtg. Since I worked for Cisco WebEx in the past, I sold the platform on the basis of its secure connection w/encryption and rich feature set. Other free platforms are broadcast via the internet (not secure), while you and your attendees in a WebEx session are secure on their network once in a session (i.e. not exposed via the internet, no uninvited attendees). Depending upon your needs, you can purchase their service online and pick the platform that best suits/meets your needs. Happy to help, but do keep in mind, cheap is not always best in the case especially if you need to impress an audience of 50 or so. Sean
Hi Jake - I suggest we talk. I work for Premiere Global Services and we're the 2nd largest conferencing provider in the world. Rather than trying to piece a solution together from multiple vendors, allow me to show you what you're looking for here. Feel free to review my profile to see more. Looking forward to helping you with this.
