Do you read/follow any business blogs on a regular basis?
I'm subscribed to Entrepreneur Daily Dose and Quora right now. Both are good, but I am wondering what other sources are out there for business advice and light reading. Any recommendations? I'd be interested in a blog that sent me one business tip a day or something easily digestible like that.
Seth Godin: http://sethgodin.typepad.com/
Heidi Cohen: http://heidicohen.com/
James Altucher: http://www.jamesaltucher.com/
Growth Hackers: https://growthhackers.com/
KEXINO: http://kexino.com/blog (yeah, OK, that's mine...)
There are many good sources for entrepreneurs in books, few in blogs. There are hundreds if more specialized blogs on marketing, sales, finance and other topics. You need to know what you want to become expert in and what your partner or employees will be experts in too. I have compiled a list of top books every serious entrepreneur should read here: http://clevelenterprises.com/Recommended_Reading.htm
The Kaufman Foundation also has some good stuff, though very basic.
See my blog which is new but will have weekly additions here:
Most blogs are simplistic and do not address real concerns of entrepreneurs about deep strategy, excecution, management and vision issues. Few writeres understand those issues well as they are art that are only learned by practicing them.
I would suggest a good CEO Coach to help guide you and fill in the blanks. ;0)
There are few that have grown two startups to over $100,000,000 in sales like me: http://clevelenterprises.com/coaching.htm
Hi Danielle. I operate a couple of small business blogs and post to each of them every Friday rather than daily. Average post is about 800 words. Check them out.
check these places out
https://dlvr.it/ (instead of you seeking out the information, why not have the content you are interested sent to you instead, save you time in searching when it could be delivered to you like a newspaper on your front door step, try it out)
These places are focused on writing and specialized topics of your choosing
Hi Danielle! That's important as a business owner to get knowledge, that helps your growth and success in your business...another thing that works for me is to be connected on LinkedIn with the same like minded people or even those that are more successful than I am! You must also join groups on LinkedIn that you will learn a lot from discussions, that come from people that have your expertise! You can visit my profile there and you will see that I'm in different groups and that horse ally helped me to grow and learn! Hope this helps...on Twitter and Facebook follow people that you know you will learn from....
There is numerous source to read the entrepreneurs stories on the web. You can read about entrepreneur on various blog, where you can read their inspiration stories, business journey and much more about him.
As you mentioned you already subscribed Entrepreneur Daily Dose & Quora. Yes, it is good source and there are many more sources that you need to read. I would recommend you to read the below-mentioned blog on the daily basis & also added it to your list.
I would recommend you add FABlog into the list of must read blogs. Here is the link: http://www.fatbit.com/fab/
The blog shares content related to eCommerce, social media, SEO and much more.
You should look at Ian Brodie's blog. Ian is based in the UK but he has excellent material. Just Google him.
x2 wrt reading Medium - better than Google News or Apple's new addition to general reading. Not a specific biz category but still lots of biz-centric reading.
I also like the sales groups within LinkedIn.
I really like the content that Hubspot posts -- a lot of marketing and sales but really solid business advice as well. Of course, I'm partial to my Branding & Marketing blog as well :) -- marthaspelmandotcom.
www.myeurekasolutions.com/thoughts I post weekly on success elements for business. If you follow on twitter @TomFoxTrainer you will get notifications or browse the archives on the site.
I still think Tom Peters is the best author to follow----Author of In Search of Excellence
Smartbriefs.com has several compellations daily that are broad. I like the HBR blogs featuring lots of different voices/writers.
I read "The Sales Blog" @thesalesblog byAnthony Iannarino . It is an excellent blog. Very useful.
For light reading: http://www.opportunities2serve.com/the-salt-opp2s-blog/
If the people / businesses I follow are linking to specific articles I would tend to read those as it happens rather than just follow a given blog.
