Does anyone know of a good site/place to find wholesale reps to sell my product?
I am looking for sales reps and companies that sell your product. I have been told to Google "gift reps" but really want to find some quality companies/people.
I would suggest looking into becoming a member of ASI (Advertising Specialty Institute). This would make your product line available to thousands of Reps across the US and Canada.
Specifically caters to promotional product and business gifts manufacturers and vendors.

I don"t think so ,there are other good sites / places for wholesale reps or companies , you can approach them with agreement to sell a particular quantities as minimum at a particular time , they charge their commission a cording to their sales , that way you can will gain your targeted goal .
Hi Patty - I agree with Mirek. You can post a job/search for reps at various sites like Rep Hunter.com or Manufacturers-Representatives.com and get a lot of applications from interested rep firms. However when the dust settles, the number of quality reps you will find will be extremely low.
You are better off yourself contacting retailers and distributors yourself. Speaking as a former large retail buyer, most retailers don't like reps because (a) there is no accountability from them and (b) they are an added cost in the retailer's cost of goods.
There are companies like Retailbound.com that can teach you how to talk to retail buyers, how to price your products for retailers, and finally how to close the sale.
Hope this helps...thanks!

Hi Patty,
I believe that searching for wholesale reps to sell your pillows is a wrong solution. You will either end up with having large volume and low margin short term and then none of the shops wanting to buy your pillows as they are still stocked with a product that doesn't sell or with a lot of unhappy customers who were pressured into buying your pillows at high price...You either have to build your own sales team (B2B) to sell to high-end department stores, or team up with manufacturers of high quality cosmetics who have their own distribution channels or sell through amazon.com or your own website.
With your product, you need to be as close to your end customers as you can, and hence introducing a third party is only going to lead to problems in the future
My organization, Opportunities 2 Serve could handle it. Let's chat via LinkedIn, I'll send you a connection request. There you may view my profile website and qualifications.
I'd be glad to help you. Contact me. ida.design.info (at) gmail.com

Hi Patty
That might depend on the product to a degree and its price point, because there are many different ways to sell . . .
e.g. telemarketing, door to door, shopping centre booths, appointment setters, show/expo stands, party plan, etc
Those might be some good words to Google.
Going lateral . . . you could set up franchises or agencies and have them sell for you. Or appoint businesses that also sell companion or competitive products to yours.
Have you tried speaking to a HR specialist? They might have some suggestions too.
Hope there are some ideas in there for you . . .
cheers . . . Philip

This is a good site for posting your product. https://www.greatrep.com/
Feel free to reach out to me.
I've used RepHunter.com successfully for several years - https://www.rephunter.net/
I'd need to know more about your product Patty. I worked as National Sales Manager for a company importing seven different product lines from overseas and then wholesaling them to over 400 retailers. We did use Sales Agents in most states who are basically order takers and work on a commission basis ranging from 10-15%. We also sold to several Distributors but they want a bigger margin to onsell into specialised retail or industry. I can tell you how to find these people and it's not on google.
You could try MANA. That is the Manufacuers Agents National Association. Their web site is https://www.manaonline.org/manufacturer-reps/?oref_ID=8263
They have manufacturers reps in many fields. A long time ago when I was in that business I was a member.
Have you tried LinkedIn? You can use Linkedin's People search and Group search to find people by industry, job title, geographic area and more.
Thanks Jeff I have but how would you refine the search? There are so many different jobs that come up when I search "sales rep beauty." Most likely I need a company that carries many different lines and takes my product on as a new line to represent.
You could search by the type of company and industry that your usual reps would work for/in either in combination with job role or without job role. You can also search by group name, so if there are groups in LI related to wholesale reps, you can combine one or more groups with the other relevant search terms.
I don't really know your industry very well so I can't make specific recommendations for keywords but I'd be surprised if you couldn't refine the search terms enough using LinkedIn's powerful People search feature, especially if you have a premium account, where you can search by many more specific criteria.
