Does SEO results in sales of online services?
I am going to launch website of my company for the online services like translation, transcription, voice over and staffing. I am thinking to do SEO for it. I have confusion that is is possible that a proper SEO results in increase of sales ? What should be key word and which SEO should i use ? Is google keyword right choice?
SEO will bring traffic to your website. Now it will be your website's job to sell. So make sure you have landing pages that will convert the visitor into customer.
If you don't have traffic then you don't have sales.
SEO is very important but since you are launching your website I would suggest you to also go for Google Adwords. I would suggest you to hire a professional company to do the SEO work. Content is the king. Keywords needs to be choosen wisely for which you would like to do the SEO. But intially look for keywords which have less compettiion and ample amount of traffic.
One more thing do not depend heavily upon SEO, use all the ways and channels for marketing and selling your services.
As Nikhi said, I think great SEO will be essential to get people to even see your service/products. You are entering a pretty competitive market as far as SEO and search terms go. As far as being found, you are competing with online services and things like Rosetta Stone, so you really should hire a SEO service to make sure you are seen.
You should also consider utilizing online campaigns, mailing lists, and content to draw in and convert lookers to buyers. I know it sounds intimidating and expensive, but it really is an investment in your long term success.
I wish you all the luck, and hope you find great success!
Yes SEO can result in sales, actually for an online service it's the number 1 way. However, you have to understand what SEO is. Every platform uses a SEO model. If you are going to focus on SEO you must make sure to focus on it on Every Platform you advertise on.
Keywords are very important. They are the words you want to be known by, the words you want your customers to use to find you. It is not good to just purchase a keyword package without putting everything else in place.
This is what I do. You can contact me here to talk more about this. Good Luck!
If you're not on Page-One for your niches 'Buyer' keywords... you basically don't exist online, and with all of the changes Google's been making over the last few years YOU WILL HAVE TO setup your website and social properties in alinement with Google's new direction if you want to get in front of your best prospects.
Setting your website up RIGHT means, you'll have to rely VERY heavily on SEO, and from that base you'll be able to utilize other platforms to drive traffic to your site. But making sales is another thing all together... if your content sucks, then people won't signup or buy and you won't make sales, even if your business occupied every listing on Page-One for your best keyword.
Honestly, you have to do more than SEO to do that. The key is to make all marketing campaigns integrated to one another. First step to find right keywords is to do competitor analysis and see what keywords they are using. There are softwares to find out how much other companies are spending for a certain keyword.
Jaydeep,
"SEO" will help you get found.
The question you need to understand the answer to is "What is SEO?" The definition and activities vary from expert to expert.
You may want to think "inbound marketing" vs "SEO".
One of the very best videos I have seen and still highly recommend is from Dharmesh Shah. http://www.michaelhartzell.com/inbound-marketing-blog/bid/81132/The-Science-of-Inbound-Marketing
He talks about SEO, getting found and how to think about using the internet. He is NOT a marketer and keeps it very practical. Well worth the time.
"keywords"
It is not a simple answer "what should I use?" The video will help a bit.
"Which SEO"
People will talk about 'on-page' SEO and 'off-page' SEO. You will split the conversation between technical and strategy.
The world is searching for translation services and/or transcription and/or voice overs. If you line everything up right, people will contact you via the Internet. It is about SEO... and more.
After you watch Dharmesh's video, head over to the Sales Lion and learn how to use your blog and website to build a great business. (thesaleslion.com) he has videos, blog articles, podcasts and a great 200+ page free ebook.

As many of the others responded, yes SEO *Can result in sales if done right. There isn't one thing that will guarantee results other than it's not a race and you won't get the results you're looking for if you cut corners.
There's no way to tell you everything and list the exact steps you need to take without knowing how much time you have? Do you have staff to help or by yourself? and how much knowledge you have adding adding code to your website for analytics/tracking, etc.. But here's a simple overview to start:
Write your content with the readers/potential customers in mind not Search Engine Algorithms. Build out your Social Media sites, get yourself in all of the listing directories under the appropriate categories and use your keywords/key phrases in the titles. Don't keyword stuff, or try any shortcuts like building links through 'link farms' or anything like that. Use images and video on your site with the correct meta data and alt-descriptions, keep your content fresh and whenever you have new info to post, share it on your social media sites with links back to the correct landing pages and make it clear what it is you are asking them to do. (i.e. signing up for a monthly newsletter, calling your office, downloading a whitepaper, watching a video, etc...)
There is a lot more to it than this but just be transparent, write for people not machines, be their resource for the services you are providing. You'll build trust and you once you do that, you really won't have to ask for a sale, they will ask you how to buy.
Hi Jaydeep, as someone who has built their first real push off of SEO for a startup, I can definitely say, the benefits of SEO are alive and kicking. That said, it's not a short-term strategy.
When I am working with a client on SEO with a client, we're having discussions about 3-6 months for results to really start rearing their head. If you're wanting to help accelerate a jump in results, Google does love their own stuff so Google AdWord campaigns are a great option.
All of these tactics need to be proceeding with strategy; keywords, key phrases and continual update of content on your website for Google to index. Hope this helps!
SEO is just part of your sales strategy, but your your online services should be ''salable'' and your business should be credible to your potential customers.
If you won't have enough testimonials, website with quality design, good social media profiles (yes many customers will click to see how many followers you have on Facebook and what reviews they have posted on your G+ page) I highly doubt that your SEO efforts will have most effective ROI!
SEO is the first step
You have to a trustworthy website and valuable content, or people will just click and go.
We live in a very instant gratifcation society with a great deal of competion.
You need an attractive landing page establishing an easy to use environment and trustworthy marketplace.
Customers these days are very skeptical and will turn to places they trust ala Google, Amazon, etc.
Yes, SEO works and works well. Yes, it takes time and patience to start out but once your website is being seen even by 1% of a billion or so prospective clients you should be making money. The better you tweak it and refine it the better your conversion rate and the low the bounce rate.
you need to know two factors on Page SEO and Off page SEO..

I think SEO is critical for any new business who is marketing their services online.
It is a very competitive world we live in and in order to be successful it is important to take advantage of every resource.
While it does cost money to set up a good SEO campaign for your business you will reap huge rewards by being at the top of the organic search.
Make the investment and do this right. You will be light-years ahead of your competition!
Jaydeep, SEO is the first step. If you have company website without seo you will need significant marketing and sales budget to run the business. As you may see on many big B2B companies sales funnel starts from webpage/BLOG/SEO this is the begining. You need to educate your customers, engage them, and move to the leads and finally make a deal. The some good tools for seo like Seoprofiler or Webmeup etc. Monitor your website and try not to waste money on adwords.
Best Regards

OBVIOUSLY , if done right , for the buying keywords .
if you get rankings and visitors but not customers , you can go for CRO .
Well, Yes SEO do results in sales of online services indirectly you must be wondering why I said indirectly why I am saying this is because what SEO does is it will bring traffic to your site either from the niche based sites or from the google organic result, and You must be aware that if proper optimisation is done then the chances of getting conversion is very high.
start with the google keyword tool.
then choose a specific target market (e.g. canada). Make a set of your business services and the target business verticals (e.g. insulation, temperature control etc, a lot of voip sales campaigns for these products run from SA region). Put all these keywords together (along with point of interest keywords of the target market) and make a 500-1000 letter description. put it in the meta of your web property, and make sure your key terms are present at least once within your page content as well. Do not repeat terms unnecessarily.
this will help you appear in search results. also, spread around links of your web portal through blogs and third party portals. All the best!
