Have you ever heard of a mastermind group? Do you take part in one?
A mastermind group consists of A GROUP OF ENTREPRENEURS that get together to discuss their businesses and help each other.
Some are hosted by a mentor, while others are simply groups that join together to share their experiences and SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER.
I highly recommend mastermind groups for not only STRATEGY SHARING, but also the invaluable emotional support that is necessary as an entrepreneur. Do you do this within your business or team?
Love to be part of a mastermind group. Please contact me @ realtyhavenathotmail.com
Yes, Trish, I've heard of the concept of a mastermind group. It a micro version of a corporate board of directors, in my mind. I've just joined two in 2012 because I was invited and because I am a fit for both.
These groups are not so much structured for emotional support but more for business insight support. Sometimes members become stuck in a process and the group provides insights from which everyone can benefit.
Hope this helps.
Trish, Yes to both your questions. I have heard and do participate in mastermind groups. I am also in the process of organizing one for small business owners that are interested in applying our tools to the growth of their business in 2013.
Thanks for all of your answers and you are all right. I think it is very important to be involved in a Mastermind Group. Now, you may not even call it that but it is something that you can join in with others, to be able to bounce ideas, have the support and be as creative and responsive as you want. I absolutely love them and am always involved in some sort of mastermind group myself. If you do not have one, try and find one and connect. The other option is that some people only think that Mastermind Groups need to be face - to - face, but this is not true. I am involved in a Mastermind Group on Skype as well, another great tool. Think creatively and outside the box! Thanks for all of your comments, they were all very good.
Yes I have and have been a member and have run them. Very useful to join if you can find a good group...sometimes you can find it by searching meetup.
I have been in a few and they are dynamic as heck, I often setup clients in small groups and call them peer groups so they feel supported
I have personally been involved with a mastermind group for two years and have this year completed a Mastermind facilitation course and launched a pilot group with the view to run more Mastermind groups both online and and live groups starting in South Australia initially in 2013 and then expanding through Australia in 2014. Online Mastermind Groups will be on offer mid 2013
I have been a member of mastermind groups in several formats since the 1980s. I currently facilitate several groups both in my local market and on the internet. There is huge value in these groups if they are properly designed and facilitated well.
A great resource for learning more about the value of facilitated groups is the Edward Lowe Foundation. They do a fantastic job of training facilitators and developing resources for leading peer groups with great success. I have been through their facilitator training and it is first rate.
I have been a member of a mastermind group in the past and found it very rewarding. There is only me within my business so I don't do it as part of my business. I participate as myself.
I agree with you. I have been using mastermind groups for over 23 years.
I am involved with 2 different mastermind groups in CT.
I help setup over 15 groups in the past 3 years.
I strongly recommend every entrepreneur set up their own group.
I coach the teams to have a group and provide guidelines to use these groups as their board of directors. All big corporations have board of directors.
Small businesses can do the same and have their own board of directors.
I am a member of multiple Master Mind groups.
Very useful tool if utilized correctly.
