How best do I build and promote a blog page for my online business?
I wish to build a world class blog that I will use to promote my online business. What are the step by step guide to do that, as well as how to create blog link?
Blog setup on main website is one of the best way to make website updating regularly. for your need WordPress is is the best option. If you are not much familiar with this you need to hire expert for this task.
Links are one of the most powerful parts of your blog. Not only are links noticed by search engines, but they also act as a tap on the shoulder to other bloggers who can easily identify who is linking to their sites. Linking helps to get you noticed by other bloggers who are likely to investigate the sites that are linking to them. This may lead them to become new readers of your blog or to add links to your blog from theirs. You can even buy traffic from sites like SEOclerks.
by interacting at various social groups and post your link of your blog.. this enable people to reach to your link.
Obviously, you need to lure in the "early adopters" of your blog. What worked for me (and is used by traditional newspapers as well) is to post blog titles that allow for multiple meaning and are a little bit (I emphasize the LITTLE) controversial.
EXAMPLE:
The prime minister of our country is Mr. FICO. However, also the method of analysisng credit worthyness used by bank is called FICO as well. So I ran blog with title "Fico is advising banks on who would repay the loan properly. How would he know?". That caught quite some attention.
The trick here is that the viewer should not feel disappointed if (s)he finds about the second meaning of the title. (I would not look for somebody accidentally named Gates to claim something like "Gates will never use the Windows again", so be extra careful with making smooth revelation of second meaning. Don't pretend you actually really meant THE Bill Gates.
Good luck with you efforts!
Through Social Media. I am doing a 10 Step Lesson on this on LinkedIn. Here is a link and we are only getting to Step 4. I talk about this. Check it out https://www.linkedin.com/today/author/136193771
Some excellent advice here already. The one tip I would ad related to your content. Start with the problems that your prospects face and provide solutions. If you're not sure what that is, ask your prospects and existing clients. Use a headline that will draw people in and is reflective of what you are writing.
Some website providers all include a blog option in their package. You can also look into creating a blog with WordPress. Tumblr is also another option.
Wordpress has been great for me? However do you love too write? Are you a writer.
With any content it needs too come from the heart and have some value otherwise you won't get the followers who could possibly buy your products from your business.
What is your online business? This is your sales.......... So your blog, how will this increase your sales. Why would your blog add value too your online business.
I assume you want traffic from your blog to be sent too your website, so hence people view your website and then buy.
I have not seen your website, however how high is your website converting. If you are unaware about how too get a high converstion with copy and understand how to create enticement with a story on your website, then you may have the same issue with your blog.
Conversion rates - its a science and an artform, aligned with your target market and message.

Relevant, educational content with clear calls to action or next steps are the best way to go. First, know who your ideal customer is. Then think about what questions your ideal customers have about your business/product/service, and seek to answer those and educate them about those topics.
I agree with others who recommend WordPress as the go-to platform for blogs. Easy to use and tons of features. Lots of support available if you want to do advanced types of things with it.
I'd also recommend guest-blogging to establish yourself as an expert. Pick some resources in your industry that offer educational and expert commentary and submit your thoughts. These types of blogs are always looking for new voices.
Build up some content so that you can post a few times a week or at least weekly. Fresh content is indexed much better.
Add images, videos, quotes, whitepapers, and other downloadable content to your blogs. This also helps to boost your ranking.
If your industry is somewhat mainstream, consider paying others to write for you. Fiverr.com is a very good, cheap resource for blog writers.
The most advanced cutting edge way of getting targeted traffic to your site or blog is here: http://lifestyles4you.com enjoy!
We're a WordPress custom development house (along with online marketing) so of course I am biased toward that platform. Others here have given very good tactical advice to which I would add a couple more points:
1) Understand very well the business personas you are writing for and what they need to know that will first and primarily help them, but also introduce your company and its unique value.
2) Use dollar goals in analytics to learn what type of posts and subject lead the most visitors to "convert" (download a PDF, sign up for your email newsletter, contact you). Keep delivering that kind of content.
I agree with Richard E Darling, WordPress it the easiest way to build your blog.
I think one of the more interesting ways to come up with ideas about what to write about it, is to go to forums about your particular niche and see what people are saying.
There will be questions, problems, discussions, etc and you can use these topics to write your blog posts.
Your audience will connect with what you are saying on your blog because you are addressing their concerns.
If you don't know know how to find these forums go to Google.com, type in "niche topic + forums" and you will see many forum options.
Hi there.
There are thousands upon thousands of programs out there that show you step by step how to do this.
First what is your blog about? Is it already on air?
I agree with Michael Hartzell.
There are several times where I have met people eager to start a blog. But lacked writing and blog training skills. Makes a better impression when using proper punctuation for the world to see.
You can't realistically expect someone to give you a step-by-step tutorial-that is just asking for free services. Install WordPress on your hosting account and build your blog-Google installing WordPress, you will need to put some work and effort into it.
For blog, get listed in blog directories, and go for ppc for rapid traffic, along side, opt for seo, once.you get rankings, you may opt not to use ppc more.
For blog seo I can help you with guaranteed results, PM me if interested.
If you don't have a budget and have time to so it yourself, I would be more than happy to assist you.
It often takes some time but basically post good content on it periodically and share every post on at least one social media website. Let the visitors do that too if they like what they see. SEO is aslo one of the best ways to get quality visitors.
Wordpress is the best beginner/intermediate level blogging software around. I'm guessing since you asked the question about how to create a link, that you're at that level so I won't go into the benefits of a HTML5 blog as it's going to be beyond you.
Create a subdirectory within your site structure called, for example, blog and install the Wordpress framework in there. Research some themes and choose the one that best suits your needs and/or skills. Once you've done that, some simple plugins you'll need to install, activate and configure:
All In One SEO Pack
Askimet
WP Security Plugin
A simple backup plugin
Addthis plugin (which facilitates the necessary social media aspect)
Once it's all set up and configured, edit your menu to include a link to your blog page "http://example.com/blog". The way you do this will be different if you're using HTML/PHP than if you're using one of thousands of CMSs all of which act differently.
That's it for the tech side. The tech won't make your blog "world class" as you put it, only the content will do that and the content is your show. Make it inspiring, thought-provoking and controversial for best results.
Finally, a word of warning. Nobody that has ever set up a blog with the intention of promoting their business has ever created a world class blog. That's not what blogging is for, your thought process needs redefining.
Simple: Write what your target audience wants to read and searches you out for your expertise. Good luck.
I used the Word Press blogging Platform, myself, it is easy to use, has dozens of really nice templates, for your selection. Their back office and Dashboards are easily accessible and navigable. And they can now host your blog as well. You can add or delete widgets with just a few clicks. For Beginning Bloggers, I highly recommend looking them over. Also their theme packages are quite adaptable to niche or topic, driven Bloggers. Hostgator also has a nice package as well. Look these over, I believe you will find what you need and come away impressed.
