How can I get an MVP before a Kickstarter campaign is funded?
I have an approved Kickstarter campaign for a learning community, once I publish, what are the best ways to get funding and securing developers and designer? Ideally I'd have an MVP before publishing the campaign but how do I do that before the campaign is funded?
Best is to find a developer partner, which - I agree with the others - should be a student or junior figure.
Beware motivation though: as per my experience, if engagement is not 200%, this developer will waste a lot of your time without finalizing. In that case, better to outsource to a small company looking for a long term relationship.
By MVP I am assuming you mean Minimum Viable Product...if you know about this, then you know that you must carry out tests with your target market and gather feedback from them in order to come to a pivot or persevere decision. Ries defines a start-up's runway as the number of times you can go round the Build-Measure-Learn loop. The more times you go round this loop, the faster you will become in getting to and then making the pivot/persevere decision.
You can partner up with a developer and share a portion of the company.
Share size depends on the importance of the development and the required development time, as well as the experience & connections the developer can bring with him. You should also like and trust that person.
The designer is not an issue as you can easily outsource it and availability is promised. Let me know if you need recommendations.
You could go out in the street with a camera and interview millennials. The people-factor is always a good way to go viral & impress investors. Many companies did it that way even back in the 80s.
One of the many sources from where you can actually get a reasonably good MVP out would be college students interested/looking of their term projects. Since you already have a kickstarter connection, it is a market-viable idea and hence students interested in doing projects which earn them points would find it attractive. The only key would be to ensure that the development is managed really well from your end. Remember - the student is interested in his academics and his/her focus would primarily be to achieve just enough to support his/her academic goals. Perhaps a team of students could take it up together to roll it out faster.

MVP starts with your hypothesis. You can do paper prototypes to gain customer validation, you don't have to build anything if you are able to communicate your idea. You need to ensure you have potential customers willing to pay you to solve a need. Let me know if you want to discuss.
Interesting and important market with a lot of competition.
You might consider connecting with people in a consortium like "The Masie Center" et al. or people on LinkedIn and Facebook that have similar interests (LearnDev etc.) There is a very wide range of people that might be interested in joining you, who would be willing to contribute sweat equity on the tech side.
There are a number of things you can do to help your fundraising initiative and indeed create your "MVP". As you have correctly identified, having an MVP helps you demonstrate your business idea which in turn, makes it a tangible product/service that both investors and users can try out and invest in.
If you are not in the position to develop it yourself nor able to pay someone to do so, I would suggest you partner with a developer/designer or even perhaps, another tech dev start up. Offer them some good terms (i.e.; partnerships, equity, deferred payments on work etc). Investors rarely invest in an idea and your crowd funding may suffer if there isn't a tangible product that people can connect to.
What you need to raise is Seed money in the absence of a partnership with a developer /designer who can bring your project to life. Here are a couple of suggestions;
1. If you've exhausted your own money and that of friends and families, you could seek out one or two investors initially who have a particular interest in tech startups and pitch your idea to them.
2. Local business development or support network or services for any grants or subsidised loan for research and Development.
