eCommerce Photo Editing
If you have an ideas on how to successfully market this business, I'd like to hear your suggestions.
Thank you for your valuable time.
Collect the websites of photographers, analyze whiich photo from there you could edit with max effect, then send to owners your version of their photos with short description of services you do.
Promoting your business on social media sites. Shared your good quality photos. Worked on discussion sites & question answer sites. Word of mouth is a good way to increase the other interest on your site.
Some of these techniques are helpful for you.
If you are not able to do these task then I suggested you hire a digital marketing company. Digital marketer knows about the SEO strategy so you can easily rank on Google search engine & attract client's interest on your site.
Digital marketing provides you better ROI.
I have found across all types of business that branding is very important when it come to attracting clients. Great word-of-mouth from happy customers is important too. I have watched many businesses succeed on using their memorable brand along with word-of-mouth advertising. Having an easy to remember domain for your website helps tremendously in allowing your customers connect to you. I help businesses rebrand every day with this simple step in mind. (Of course, make sure your site is professional with a lot of examples of your work).
This is not to say that you shouldn't also advertise -- but be smart about it and go to where you will actually gain new business (are you focusing more on B2B or B2C? Figure that out and do a lot of brainstorming to where your future clients will see you.
You're in an extremely competitive space where what you're offering is seen as a commodity. Before throwing time and money at websites, social media, and whatever else, IMO you need take an inward look and create a value proposition that differentiates your offering that's not based on *price*, but that's based on the perceived *value* of your business offering.
I would second John's advice of engaging a marketing company to help build and manage a sustainable lead generation/lead nurturing initiative.
You need a mobile responsive website. Once you have that then Search engine optimization or Pay Per click is the next step to getting more traffic to the site. You should talk to a digital marketing company so that a strategy is development for you.
First off have a good web site. You are in a perfect business to create some great illustrations of your work, before and after photos. Perhaps you have already done this but I don't see a web site listed in your profile. This is the number one thing you must do.
Get involved with social media. Create a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and any other site that may be useful.
Do some tutorial videos showing some photo editing tricks of the trade and post them on YouTube. I am sure there are lots of people who look at those wanting to do it themselves and may see your video and decide to have you do it.
Get involved locally, Join things like the Chamber of Commerce, meet up groups, any networking events and more.
Look online. Places like Fiverr can generate a lot of business and some good work for your profile and web site. There are other sites as well. I haven't been on it but Freelancer may be one.
Get involved with online forums. Not just to advertise but help people with answers. When people see you know your stuff they will come to you for work.
Promote your business on social media, PPC, discussion communities and niche blogs to get clients for your business. Track your competitors and you should follow their marketing strategies. Optimize your business website to get better ranking over search engines and traffic boost. Business listing on top business listing portals also a good move.
