How can I increase my site traffic and get more link juice?
My site is 9 months old. It has been linked to on other sites for about 8 months. Right now the traffic rank is out of 10,000, and I am very worried about it. Please help me find the right SEO strategy to solve some of our traffic issues. Thank you.
The answer to that question depends on the industry you are working in. some generic strategies would include social media outreach, press release and your involvement in relevant forums.
If you are willing, you can also invest in media buys such as Google Adwords or Outbrain. These will help with traffic but they will not be so effective in increasing link juice.
Link juice is a reference to the authority of your site based on the number of valuable links pointing to it. The best way to increase that authority and consequently that link juice is to regularly publish good quality content. weather that content is the written word, infographics or video the goal should be to publish quality content and then share it with the most influential audience you have.
You can also look at working alongside complementary businesses in your industry. for example, if you work limousine service you might like to collaborate with a hair salon. The connecting point being that you both deal in the wedding space.
Each business and industry will have an audience to 10 together in a particular place. You're jobs to find out where your target audience and then begin to develop a marketing strategy that will create an inbound flow of traffic.
It would be helpful if you filled out more of your profile. When our experts can see your business name, website URL, what industry you are in it etc, it makes it easier to provide more specific information to help you.
Some people have so much success with their content marketing strategies that they have hundreds of thousands of readers. Of course, great content is a big part of the equation, but the other, often overlooked area of content marketing is content promotion.
Here is how you can attract scores of new visitors with your content:
Embrace the Visual
We all know tweets with images get more engagement. We’ve known for a while that photos on Facebook get more engagement. Even images on LinkedIn get more engagement. Three of the “newest” social networks—Pinterest, Instagram, and Snapchat, are based entirely on images. So why aren’t you leveraging the visual when promoting your content? Don’t just create a branded “featured image” to share with your post. Create separate images for each of the main points in your content.
Do Your Research
“ A lot of people use sponsored posts and other paid advertising, and it seems that many are happy to simply pay the money and watch the views and clicks roll in - even if some of those clicks are from individuals tangential to the product or service they're promoting. Most platforms allow you to specifically target your sponsored posts and ads, and my tip is to do so following a period (even if it's only a short period) of actual research. Your gut instinct might tell you a lot about who your clients are, but you should also take the time to find out for yourself - which profiles of consumer spend the most? Who are the ones who return time and again? Where are more of your clients based?”

You’re writing great content, but are you writing a title worthy of grabbing someone’s attention in social media? If not you either need to:
Create better titles that help your posts to be more promotable in social media or…
Create a new title specifically for sharing your content in social media.
Don’t just settle for one title. You should be posting your content multiple times. Create multiple titles, and perform A/B testing to see which headlines most effectively promote your content on which social networks.
Prune Your SEM Spend
Obviously, you implemented your search engine marketing strategy so that you’d be able to attract customers doing searches inside your wheelhouse. But it’s still really common for those programs to get bloated and irrelevant over time. To prune your spend, ask yourself, are those outlive terms really worth the investment?
Usually, it’s better to review the program and get laser-focused on only the keywords that matter most. Prune the rest.
Digital Marketing Courses
Another alternative is to join digital marketing course where you will learn digital marketing from industries best experts with practical assignments.
For example, I presently run a small marketing business - Strategic Digital Marketing and Publishing Solutions (http://tabithanaylor.com) and decided to put together a very comprehensive training course that walks people how to set up a GOOD marketing program, from A to Z, that they can do themselves. It's literally everything in my head, presented in a well-organized program that's designed to get results.
It's a 12 week program - each week covers a new topic. And the content for each week is broken up into 5 pieces, one for each workday of the week (Monday through Friday). It should take you about 10-15 minutes per day to learn what I am going to teach you. And then, I'm asking you to invest 30-45 minutes after that to actually DO what I've taught you. It takes 30 days for something to become habit. So, the idea is that the end of 12 weeks, you will have trained yourself on how to set aside an hour per day towards the marketing of your business.
The way that I approach marketing is a little different than most people, since my background is actually in sales. So, everything I teach is designed with one thing in mind: good ROI.
When it comes to promoting content, social media is one of the most powerful tools available; however, most content marketers fail to truly maximize its potential.Utilize one or all of these ways to promote your social media content, and you’ll generate significantly more traffic for your precious content.
In most cases it’s really hard to get more than 100 visits on an article. I think the main reason is the lack of marketing and promotion. I believe if we follow and fit certain factors in our strategy, there is no chance of failure.
I have started my digital marketing blog in May 2017. Initially, as most of us, I was struggling too with my website traffic. But now it has been 3 months since I started applying my tactics and well planned strategy, it’s working for me.
I would like to share some tips and tricks that you can apply in your marketing strategy (specially for bloggers) for increasing website traffic.
1. Write great content.
Write great content because “Blogs have been rated as the 5th most trusted source for accurate online information”. If you know writing, please don’t stop yourself, write with your heart. According to a report “45% of marketers say blogging is the #1 most important piece of their content strategy.”
Here are some tools that I use and these might be helpful for you as well. The best part is most of these tools are free.
Canva: For Graphics designing
Buzzsumo: Find most shared contents on social media.
Grammerly : For grammar and spelling check
Hemingway : For better readability
Unplag : Check plagiarism in your article.
2. Get Viral by Graphics and Color
“Blog articles with images get 94% more views”. As you can see below picture, how I have posted it in one of the LinkedIn groups and it got viral. I have taken care of 2 things while posting this article on direct mail. First, Title is very simple and Second, Content is written as comparison model with Emails. But wait there is one more thing, Yes you are correct, it’s the color scheme I have used in the graphics. Red color increases your chance of getting noticed by a reader.
Here is the list and reasons of using different colors.
Red – (most noticeable) excitement, strength, passion, speed, danger.
Blue – (most popular) trust, reliability, belonging, coolness.
Yellow – warmth, sunshine, cheer, happiness.
Orange – playfulness, warmth, vibrant.
Green – nature, fresh, cool, growth, abundance.
Purple – royal, spirituality, dignity.
Pink – soft, sweet, nurture, security.
White – pure, clean, youthful, mild.
3. Ask and Answer on Quora and Reddit
Ask and answer questions related to your blog topics. You will be able to prove your worthiness in front of millions of people by answering their questions or asking them questions. It will 100% help you to get traffic from different countries and sectors. Don’t forget to include your blog post url link at the end because this is where you will get backlinks. Backlinks play a big role in SEO.
4. Share your content on social media
Best channels to use are Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
Use hashtags and @mentions while using Twitter
Get more followers by sharing good articles on twitter.
Join your industry related groups on LinkedIn and Facebook. Share your content in those groups. Make sure you do not post an advertisement in any group because it might get you banned from that group.
Don’t forget to post on Google Plus. Google Plus is a Google product, hence it will help you to get faster on SEO ranks for specific keywords.
5. Write great headlines:
Did you know that 8 out of 10 people will read a headline and not read the rest of your ad? .
Make it a maximum 65 characters with a maximum length of 6 words.
Use interesting adjectives like- “Fun”, “Effortless”, “Unique”, “Incredible”, “Essential”, “Strange”.
You can use negative words like- “No”, “Stop”, “Without”, these leads to more shares.
You can use numbers example- “10 things to do in Rome”.
You can personalize the topic example- “9 Ways to crack GRE Exam: Number 3 is Most Important”
There are some tools that can help you to find a right title. Here are some- Portent , Hubspot Topic Generator
6. Add your blog post to StumbleUpon, Alltop and Triberr
When you add your blog post on any of the above mentioned websites, you get 2 benefits. Do you know what it is? They are website hits and backlinks. Website hits improves your Alexa ranking and increases visitors on your website while Backlinks improves your SEO ranking on Google.
7. Invite others to guest blog
“Guest blogging is by far the most effective way to build influence”. It is good when you post guest articles on other’s blog because you get backlinks and sharing. In the same way, when other people post guest articles on your blog, you get more sharing and hits on your blog. Hence, Google spider net expands with double speed when you guest blog on other’s blog and other bloggers write on your blog.
8. Email your subscribers
Once you have posted your blog article, it’s time to start emailing it to your subscribers. People subscribe to a blog because they feel the nerves of the portal, they connect themselves with the content. They start trusting the portal and have expectations from the portal. Now if they get zero emails in a month or 100 emails in a month, both are dangerous. You need to send 3-5 emails in a month to your subscribers specially if you are running a blog. Of Course you need to set automation emails when someone joins the email list and this doesn’t count in that 3-5 emails.
Some tools that I use for myself and for my clients are Mailchimp, Wix Shoutouts. I try to make things simple and not much automated hence I prefer doing 70% of my email marketing tasks manually because I feel a computer program cannot fully understand my mindset. It makes me to understand my clients and subscribers more closely. Hence I would suggest, not to try too much of automation in emails especially in first few years of your startup/ blog.
9. Make your website/blog fast and mobile friendly
This is the last topic in this article and a very important one. You might get new visitors on your website but to bring back returning visitors is very hard. Speed and Mobile friendliness are very important factors in bringing returning visitors and improving bounce rate.
If you are using WordPress then you can note down following suggestions
Never host on new servers. Try using Siteground or Bluehost.
Improve your speed by reducing size of images using these plugins- EWWW Image Optimizer, CW Image Optimizer
Check your speed at Google speed.
Check mobile friendly at Google Check
Optimize your home page

Its totally depends on industry which you are working for. First, you have to analyze back links of your site. Back Link must be relevant with your service ( website ). If you are done with bulk submission then its not working effectively. SO analyze your backlinks with WMT ( Google Webmaster Tool ) and delete if you are getting any site which is not related with your site then add it on Disavow Tool ( In WMT ).
I see a lot of experts talking and advising on backlinks, but the main goal is not the number of backlinks, it's about the quality traffic and consequently that ($$$) revenue that your website traffic brings on table.
I've done a lot of backlinks/link building projects and I've seen many sites with tons of backlinks but with zero traffic-revenue.
My only advice is to segment your customers, try and educate them with informative content in the form of blog posting, guest posting and newsletter, try and understand their pain point, help and address them.
So, use your social media account and create a kind of customer survey, ask relevant questions and this will help you create your audience persona and you can use this detail to create more targeted content.
It obviously depends on the industry of your site, but I'd like to say that you should worry not only about the links, but about content as well. Good content = more visitors = increased traffic. The trick is that when the visitors like what you offer, this content becomes viral, and they share and recommend your site and this is what Google likes. You may use some popular SEO backlink strategies (white SEO, of course), but Google's algorithms update constantly and it became easier to get banned.
if you would display your url then you will get most accurate suggestion for your answer.
i will suggest you to keep current traffic to engage with new stuff, use the analytic tools to find from where traffic droop out.
you need to make proper strategy to get more visitors. you can find more stuff on our blog weblydigital.com
Drop the feeling of worry, because it can be fixed. You simply need to make sure your site structure is relevant and makes linking since. Example
www.brandname.com/locations/city or www.brandname.com/service/seo You drive links to your brand with anchor text focused on your brand as the keyword. That will increase your DA authority and every link on the first page of it. Next, you can do press releases for a backlink to a specific page and depend on the keyword you can drive social signals or links to it as well.
For online marketing, the most important thing is to drive targeted traffic to your website. I use social networking & content marketing more than anything else. For more SEO tips, make sure to visit masterseo website. Hope it helps!
