If you were to sell a $40 product for 1% commission on Amazon (health products), here's how much traffic you will need to make $100/day:
- 5,000 visitors a day x 5% CTR (Industry average) = 250 products (each costs $40)
- 250 x $40 x 1% commission = $100
So, you'd need 5,000 daily visitors. Which can require a LOT of work.
Instead, if you sold an item in luxury beauty with 10% commission (according to latest Amazon Fee Schedule), then you'd be making $1000 for the same amount of traffic. So, it's important to pick your products and your niche wisely.
