How do you migrate potential customers from a personal Facebook page to a business Facebook fan page?
I find some friends on my personal Facebook page and then others who like my Facebook fan page for my business. This has led to a huge gap. I want everyone on the same page to create one cohesive message. What is the best way to convert these customers?
That will depend entirely on how they got to your page. If you attracted them through asking for likes etc you might as well just duplicate the process for the page you want people on. If it was organic however you can go through the list of people and privately invite them, and as laborious as thet sounds you can realistically do that over the course of about 6 weeks.
Facebook does everything to prevent you from using your personal page for anything other than personal sharing it is against their TERMS. What helps to pull people attention to your Fan Page is to share your Fan Page postings to your personal page from you Fan Page account. When people comment or like they will be pushed to do this at the Fan Page and not your personal page. .
I would come up with offers that you share with your personal page where you have to "Like" the business page to be eligible to win.
You might have two different target customers for these fan pages, so building your own audience is never bad.

You may not get people over to your business page. In 3 years I have only migrated 770 to my business page of the 2300 followers I have on my personal page. My advise to you is don't be too personal on your personal page. Treat it as a second business page. While you can post photos of your daughter's wedding & the book you are reading on vacation, keep all political & religion off your personal page! I am EXTREMELY turned off when I see a political or religious rants opposing my view on Facebook. I often think these business owners do not want to do business with people from my political party or anyone who doesn't agree with their religious point of view. I have actually chosen one glass company over another because of such posts. Before you post anything, think: Will this offend anyone?
Facebook has taken the 'Pay To Play' Option and I'm not sure that was the right thing to do, either...I mean we all understand why #Facebook had to curb the 'Organic Reach' of 'Promotional' posts > To keep the 'Real' Fans happy...Facebook cares about 'Fan-Side' more than 'B-Side' ? The Business Side will have to reajust and adapt! OK? Spamming tactics and smarter 'Ad Blocking' softwares are just part of a 'silly war' where cost will only feed those who invent those robots and softwares > However the 'Drop' in Reach is such, that it might just be a turn-off for anyone on the Business-Side willing to run a Deep and serious campaign on Facebook...Ads Budget have to be decided, planned and probably new Marketing Models for the 'B-Side' of Facebook in need to be invented-> In essence, Business Intelligence on #Facebook needs to be invented and pretty 'sharp'! > A short-term consequence, however might turn things 'south' though : A 'Bad Reach' could simply push Ads Budget down or turn Marketeers away towards more 'Balanced' Social Networks...
In addition to the invitation, I'd suggest posting only on your business page, and sharing those posts on your personal page, with an invitation to those who wish to engage with your business messaging, to "like" you fan page.
By personally liking and sharing your fan page posts, you'll also influence the reach of each post to your current page fans. (added bonus)
But it's important that you don't let the desire for a high number of "likes" outweigh the number of "quality" likes you are getting on your fan page. By only having those who are engaged in the content you share decide to opt-in as fans, you'll be better off...because you'll have a higher percentage of engagement.
It also will benefit you if and when you decide to start doing paid promotion to a custom audience or creating a lookalike audience.
Of course you can invite them, but many people ignore page invites. You can post something on your business page, and then share it on your personal page or post a teaser on your personal page with a "visit our business page here to see more" or something like that.
For the time being post on both pages and encourage people to LIKE your business page. Make sure your FB personal page is maximized with links to your business page as well. Then, slowly start removing business content from your personal page, reminding people that business updates, tips, etc. will continue of your business page. My bigger question however, is are you using other social media platforms because the organic reach (non paid) on FB is getting worse and worse because FB is becoming a pay to play platform. I find there is some overlap in my business and personal page so I ensure that each business page post is tagged with my personal page so it shows up in both places. It helps with reach and engagement numbers for those who refuse to like the business page but still enjoy the content.
