How do I create an online training/ coaching business?
Hi Everybody, another one that I hope you can help me with. I'm looking for a great online tool that can help me bring my courses online so I can reach a bigger audience. I was looking at webex but I find them rather expensive. What tool are you using and how do you market online coaching seminars/ sales workshops etc? The tool I'm looking for should have the capability to do online presentations, int. calls and/ or VoIP but also offer video conferencing. I would also need help with marketing my workshops so anybody interested in helping out can contact me and we set up a skype call to see how you can help.
Many successful people I know use Instant teleseminar, http://instantteleseminar.com.
As far as creating and marketing your course, check out David Siteman Garland, here:
My impression was that he has some sound advice, and I've seen people I trust praise him wholeheartedly.
Check this link https://www.g2crowd.com/products/webex/competitors/alternatives might be helpful.
I've looked into siminar and Udemy, but those are different from what you are looking for. anymeeting.com looks promising
For live webinars I join.me. I also have researched anymeeting.com.
Anymeeting seems to have a better toolset for doing paid webinars
Uh, webinars are not = online training.
You want to get connected with the American Society for Training & Development, which is this planet's association for training (not sure of other planets). www.TD.org
The first question, the big question is why online? If you're doing live webinars, using whatever service, then you're putting the same energy and time in, as doing live work.
And live is 10,000x better for getting stuff to stick (learners practice, interact with others, and pay attention). How many webinar attendees are doing 3 or 4 other things while "attending"?
If you want digital training for your online coaching/training biz, webinars are, at best, lead gen tools.
You are right there are a number of different platforms for doing instructor led training online. We employed this only for a short time as it still requires us and the client to find a share time.
We have since then employed an online training platform to allow small business owners to access our training 24 x 7 - 365 via either an LMS (Learning Management System). We are currently testing a WordPress LMS plugin that has turned our blog into a full-scale training platform. Still working out the kinks, but happy to speak with anyone once we have it up and operational on how to deploy such a strategy.
At Sandler, we use Cornerstone On Demand (csod.com). It's powerful but also expensive. The problem with cheap solutions is that you are limited in capability, bandwidth and sound and video quality. If you're just talking about webinars you can host them on youtube but if you want interactive training with questions and answers or actual live training, you need to invest the big bucks. I don't think there's a reasonably priced solution out there yet. Of course, if you find one, I'd love to know :-)
Get ADDIE, Rapid Intake Pro Form 3, Raptivity, Adobe Captivate CS 5.5. Adobe Captivate CS 5.5 is the one you want to use to create the online training / Coaching, the other programs show you how to put the content together.
I am sailing in the same boat. Have one with me. Would love to discuss...
The tool selection depends upon following factors
1. If you can give some financial burden on participants?
2. You want to have a screen share or video chat or both? Though you have mentioned video but in my opinion, screen share is more useful for you.
3. What is the size of your one batch?
GotoMeetings seems a good tool from small to fairly large audience and free for participant. It provides screen share but not the video share.
Yes I can help you in many ways in marketing. We can discuss it in a skype call where my id is S Q A G U R U (without spaces)
GoToWebinar is great, but if you are looking for preparing courses you can deliver with slide presentation or video which is not live, you can prepare your information via any format and produce it with Camtasia Studio. Camtasia does not allow for VoIP so you would have to use something like GoToWebinar to do this.
How you would best market these services really depends on who your niche market is and whether you will be using these productions as part of your sales package or using these as instruments to draw more people into your sales funnel.
Once people know what you have to offer and have attended some events without charge they have a better idea of what you can deliver and whether they will choose to pay for those services or not.
I suggest you offer both free introductory courses to grow your niche market and then paid courses for those interested in a more intensive learning experience.
I have a client that is using http://www.webinarjam.com/ seems pretty happen with it.
There are a number of options to do this I am actually working on a virtual training platform which allows you to track train and communicate with whoever you have utilizing it. Not only that but it has a revenue and application model that is completely subjective to your needs. Aside from that I myself hold conferencing seminars etc. If you would like to discuss this in more detail feel free to contact me.
If you're going to "go to the masses" with your training, record it and put it up on a membership site. If you need to do one-on-one coaching, you can do that a lot of ways at very low cost.
Also, depending on the quality you need for your presentations and coaching, you can use something linke YouTube Live Events. There are ways to make these events "private" through G+ Community memberships and permissions related to your YouTube channel.
Hi Carsten, the people that are best on online coaching that I am using are called adeptio.com. Everything is done online, you can schedule meetings, and do everything a coach does on line...hope this helps.
Google and even now facebooks offer some of the tools your are describing. Oloo can do the same things as well. There are a lot of useful tools in the app stores and see what is there also.
Before subscribing an online tool in reaching a bigger audience first establish your online presence since it is the best way to start in order to have a bigger audience and once you do don't settle for anything less choose webex whichever you find best to conduct your online courses that'll do.
I took the liberty of checking your tweets and your mosaicHUB profile and so too of your website and I notice you have a large number of tweets compare to your followers which is not a good indication of your online activity, a long description of what you do and lesser impression in design and web architecture w/ low metrics and scores in terms of SEO. One thing about the emerging digital media is that they are indifferent to underrated value from promotional efforts and ads, they are subconsciously interested in a personal approach rather than the traditional marketing and when they see it as just another marketing campaign the user reflex disregards your post, tweets, or otherwise and having a diverse of variety of audience makes it even more harder so having a long description or statements about the event will hardly benefit you in establish your audience instead break it into different parts and publish it to other pages. Thus, the way you diffuse innovation you must be spontaneous, diverse and give an emotional intelligence element in your effort if possible this is like a synonymous of Lovemark.
I suggest that you White Label Dr. Jared's tool. If you are going to be taken seriously
My first instinct is to tell you to hire me to develop you a site. My second instinct is to say you can gear either a wordpress or a drupal site to these sorts of purposes with the right plugins, but you will certainly want help.
