What can we do on Facebook to get more fans?
We are a growing business and want to expand our social networking to reach more potential clients. What should we be posting on Facebook and how should we be interacting on the site to get more clients and sell more?
As of January 1, 2015, Facebook has changed it's rules and algorithms for fan pages. The amount of people, even fans, to see your posts you have to increase relevancy to your fan base, frequency of post and get your posts liked, commented on and shared.
Furthermore, if you want your fan base to see your posts and to potentially grow your fan base you have to pay Facebook to boost your posts.
You should read this (http://bit.ly/1vZqxPf). It's full of great statistics to improve Facebook post engagement.
You should be creating compelling, sharable content that your consumers (do you know who they are?) will interact with. Compelling content will vary based on your industry and following-- but a good place to start is with high-quality imagery and interesting information about your product. I would start by listening and testing various types of posts and seeing how people react and engage.
Javier , Facebook is a consumer engagement platform and would like you to treat it that way.. If you buy Likes ,which is simple you will find junk. You may have 25000 Likes but when you post not more than 50 people view the post. If the post is an image then you will find more views compared to a text post. People prefer generic stuff compared to promo stuff and you could do a check on your page by posting a Joke or a nice image you will have more views than when you post your promotions...Look at yourself, when was the last time you bought stuff cause you were influenced by Facebook or clicked on a Promotion or Ad being delivered on Facebook..Though i know few companies that have been successful on Facebook in India like Urbanladder.com , they have a niche follower base and the products they display are very unique and good.. Facebook is a real good re-targeting platform
Tip on Facebook :Ensure you post at a regular interval and relevant time
Start a Facebook group and begin recruiting members. Provide valuable content to the group in the form of pinned posts. Then link your group to your fan page to get real likes from real people.
What is your business? I was trying to access http://www.thelittleyisus.com/ but got a WordPress directory.
Same question as Gee...do you know if your customer is even on facebook and if they are, is that a source of business promo's for them, as it is not for many.
Sorry, I didn't think that your answers were that fast.
We are upgrading our website, but you can see our products in facebook.com/thelittleyisus
Our customers are frequently in facebook, but we want to expand the business to a new level and search another business opportunities.
It all depends on you business/product and your target market.
Facebook and social media are marketing tactics, not marketing strategy. You need a strategy that will help you decide what tactics to use for your specific business and goals.
Your strategy should start with setting goals and truly understanding who your buyer is. You can do this by developing buyer personas and mapping out the buyers journey for your business.
A buyer persona is a composite of different factors that affect your buyer and motivate him/her to buy. Your prospect's buying cycle and buying decisions are situated within a larger context that must be understood in order to motivate his/her buyer behavior.
Once you know and understand your buyers and the messaging they respond to, then you can decide where to post that message. It may be on Facebook but it may actually be on LinkedIn instead or both.
Just because you have the ability to create a business Facebook page and everyone else has one, doesn't mean you should.
If your buyer doesn't use Facebook in their buyers journey, you are wasting your time and money building out a Facebook page.
Increase engagement with competition for their users to see and then like your page
First of all let me tell you a robust Facebook Reach doesn't always mean good business growth. You should look to measuring traffic to your site and lead generation.
Second, below I am listing some post types you can use on Facebook:
1. Behind the scene video about your brand and humorous posts regarding your product, if applicable
2. Interacting with customers on Facebook
3. Feature a happy customer on a timely basis so that they feel importance
4. Helping out other people on social media in your field of interest through informative posts
Third, another trick about posting is to post at off times, because so many people post at peak times that many fans are hardly able to see your post.
Fourth and Last, get more visual. Post more photos and videos, original content.
The best strategy in my experience is to try and determine what your user base finds interesting. It should be related to your product/service, but doesn't have to be exactly related.
For instance, one of my clients has a business that matches a user's fitness goals with the appropriate fitness facility in their area. Although the product at it's root is a gym finder, what we post on Facebook is not that at all. We found that there are several fitness events in our area that people into fitness are interested in. What we do is cover those events (photos and video) for free and present them to our user base. The users like to interact with the posts and photos, they use them as their facebook avatars, they share them, and even request high res copies, get them printed and post them in their gyms. These are all watermarked.
So now we have an entire community marketing for us. We've been getting feedback like "wow, you guys are everywhere". Larger organizations than us started to notice us and invite us to cover their events. They even give us booths and sponorships for free. This gives us free marketing all for us just giving our people what they love.
This has been working wonderfully and it truly is a good thing we're doing for the fitness community. People love the photos and all the organizations tell their followers to follow/like us. We in turn promote their events and gyms. Win win all around.
So, try to find something that will generate regular content that your users will love. It should be related to your product/service, but doesn't have to be your product/service. Don't sell your product/service, just give people what they want, make sure they know what you do, then let them make a choice to love you or not.
Hit me up if you'd like more information on how we did this.
POSTING CONTENT / ARTICLES WHICH ARE RELEVANT TO YOUR CLIENTS NEEDS AND/OR YOUR BUSINESS' INDUSTRY.
EDUCATE PEOPLE! INFORM THEM, AND OCCASIONALLY DON'T BE AFRAID TO JUST MAKE THEM LAUGH; THIS REMINDS THE CLIENT THAT YOU ARE HUMAN AND MAKES YOU MORE LIKABLE, RELATABLE, AND MEMORABLE.
- CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT.
- INCLUDE YOUR FOLLOWERS IN YOUR BUSINESS / PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT.
MAKE THEM FEEL LIKE THEY ARE PART OF THE RESEARCH PROCESS TAKING PLACE AT YOUR BUSINESS AND THAT THEIR OPINIONS ARE INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT TO THE BUSINESS' DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCT LINE-UP.
THIS IS EASY TO ACCOMPLISH. JUST POST A QUESTION OR TWO A DAY, THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE CUSTOMER'S INPUT ON ANYWAY. YOU CAN EASILY CREATE THESE, RECORD THE RESPONSES AND BUILD A DATABASE TO ADD VALUE TO YOUR BUSINESS AND BETTER PREPARE YOU TO PLAN YOUR NEXT SALES/MARKETING STRATEGY.
- IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY, INSTALL THE FREE "CALL-TO-ACTION" BUTTON ON YOUR PAGE. GIVE THE CLIENT A CHANCE TO CONVERT TO A SALE DIRECTLY FROM YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE...INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PROSPECTS THAT MAKE IT TO YOUR DESIRED LANDING AREA.
- DOWNLOAD AN AP/EXTENSION FOR YOUR BROWSER THAT ALLOWS YOU TO INVITE ALL OF YOUR FACEBOOK FRIENDS WITH ONE CLICK TO "LIKE" ANY OF THE FACEBOOK PAGES YOU MANAGE. IF YOU HAVE OTHER PEOPLE MANAGING THE PAGE, GET THEM TO DO THE SAME. EVERY WEEK OR TWO...CLICK...RE INVITE EVERYONE THAT FELL THROUGH THE CRACKS. ITS EASY TO MISS ONE NOTIFICATION ON FACEBOOK AND YOU SHOULDN'T WORRY ABOUT ANNOYING ANYONE WITH ONE PERSISTENT INVITE EVERY TWO WEEKS REQUESTING THEM TO LIKE YOUR BUSINESS PAGE. DON'T QUIT...RE INVITE...ACCEPT RANDOM FRIEND REQUESTS...RE INVITE BIWEEKLY...5)
- BUILD A SCHEDULE FOR DOING #1, #2, AND #4 REGUARLY AND STAY CONSISTENT. THEY WILL COME...YOU WILL GROW YOUR BRAND RECOGNITION AS PRO'S IN YOUR INDUSTRY...AND THEY WILL COME...SET THIS ALL IN MOTION, BUILD YOUR SCHEDULE, AND STICK TO IT!!
IT IS THAT SIMPLE. JUST BE PATIENT AND STICK TO IT. BUT DON'T OVERDO IT...SO, TO SUMMARIZE AND SCHEDULE:
*ASK / SURVEY ----
1-2 TIMES A WEEK DURING BUSINESS HOURS THAT PEOPLE ARE KILLING TIME ON CELL PHONES 8-9AM, 12-1PM, AND 5-7PM...THIS WILL INCREASE YOUR SUCCESS.
*POST CONTENT / EDUCATE / HUMOR ----
2-4 TIMES A WEEK. KEEP IT INTERESTING AND FUN, BUT ALSO INFORM AND EDUCATE PEOPLE OF INTRIGUING FACTS ABOUT YOUR INDUSTRY, PRODUCTS, OR SERVICES. THIS IS VERY EASY TO DO NOW DAYS. JUST GOOGLE SEARCH A TOPIC OR QUESTION...VIEW A RESULT THAT SEEMS INFORMATIVE ON THE ISSUE, BUT DOES NOT SCREAM ADVERTISEMENT FOR TOO MANY COMPETITORS. important note: do not be afraid to use content created by competitors. just use judgement and read the article before you post it. if they are offering the links to share he content via social media, then you are in clear on any copyrighting issues and the competition just gave you valuable content...score.
just look for an article or whatever you are looking for...that does not scream spammy post, or too many other big loud logos/ads for your competitors. If the competitor information is suttle in any way, it is probably worth using their content to save great amounts of time and energy. MOST CLIENTS / READERS WILL NEVER EVEN NOTICE THAT IT IS SOMETHING YOU SHARE AND WILL NOT CARE IF THEY DO. A WELL READ, OPEN MINDED, BUSINESS OPTION WHO IS NOT AFRAID OF HIS COMPETITION IS ALL THEY WILL SEE IN YOU, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE CONSISTENT IN SHARING THESE POSTS OF VALUE...CONSISTENCY IS KEY...AND CONTENT IS THE VALUE YOU ARE CONSISTENTLY PROVIDING YOUR FOLLOWERS.
*MASS INVITE FRIEND LISTS TO "LIKE" -----
BI-WEEKLY...AND ACCEPT NEW FRIEND REQUESTS...ITS FOR BUSINESS...WHO CARES IF THEY HAVE A CRUSH ON YOU OR YOU CAN'T STAND THEM...ACCEPT NEW FRIENDS AND GROW THAT NETWORK / BRAND RECOGNITION!!!!
GOOD LUCK!!! YOU GOT THIS. Feel free to contact me or anyone representing my company with any questions. Tell them Austin wrote you on MosiacHub and you would like to get ahold of me...All the best! Cheers!

As others have already said, you definitely shouldn't start like that. The following article contains a sample letter that is targeted to people like yourself. Let me know if it helps ;-)
Share videos. Facebook recently introduced it's own native player and there are reports of increased page views as a result
take interest in other's posts
or buy likes from SEOclerks.
Post something "catchy"! May it be a photo, video or an article, get that creativity out of you. Also, make it sure that is shareable. ;)
