How do you show a contract company change on a resume?
I started working at a USDA field office as a contractor for a company over a year ago. Their contract is expiring as of Sept 30. So a new company will be taking their place. I will be keeping my same title, responsibilities and working in the same office, it will just be a different company paying my paycheck.
What is the best way to list this on my resume so that it does not look like I am starting a whole new position?
It's totally fine to mention that you have worked as a contractor with a firm.
When you appear for interview, what matters is your work experience and skill.
May be when you talk about CTC, it might play a negative role. As a contractor you might be getting lesser CTC than a direct employee for the same role. So, your percentage hike will be calculated upon your current CTC as a contractor.
All the best.
