How much time and effort should I put into SEO per day?
How much directory submission, social bookmarking, blog posting and other off page activities is beneficial for SEO per day? What is the ideal number of submissions, 25-30 per day or what exactly?
it depends on how many niche sites you are walking on and how you run your campaigns i think 6 hours daily should be fine you write you article for 3 hours and you do your blog comments for some hours and your article syndication too
If you overdo it Google might start to view you as spammy and actually deemphasize your results. A lot of good SEO has to be with how your website is structured, how you are tagging content and images, having a site map and other "back-end" stuff.
I would never try to build 25-30 links per day unless you want a lovely spam black mark from Google. Actually I have seen sites rank better with 10 quality links in total. It really depends on your niche and competition. SEO is a huge topic but for me building quality, share-able content wins over anything.
There is no limitation or time limit for doing SEO. What all you need to do is try to build backlinks on quality sites don't consider the quantity. Even if you are posting in a single site per day it should be a authorized and well quality site. Don't make submissions in a hurry which sometimes tends to become spammy.
I don't believe theres an actual number - but like anything else, you get out of it what you put in. If you have the time, then use the time, but Id say don't get consumed by it either. Networking and interaction between actual people is just as valuable.
1. instead of "numbers" focus on QUALITY & RELEVANCY
2. Try to build the links consistently. Do not build 10 links on one day and then do nothing for next 3 days.
A lot of this depends on the target niches you are going after and the level of quality of the sites that you're posting to?
I think putting out GREAT content, getting it shared, engaging with your audience through social channels, goes a long way now to improving your SEO.
Of course it goes without saying that your on-page SEO needs to be established, you need to know the keywords you're going after, your choosing the right keywords based on competition (Long Tail Pro) is great for that.
But I use the rule of thumb that for every hour I create content, I spend 9 hours promoting it and engaging with people around it.
Hope that's helpful and do please give me a shout if that would be useful.
Hi Ankit, this is very tough to say to a SEO Analyst...Directory, social bookmarking and blog posting are not the only sources you will get ranking in google..
If you have the best content for your clients then you may think of it.. You must have all unique content on Web 2.0 channels..
More the content is being read and gets voting. the more people is linking back to your site, PPC is the best option to be in the results, this what big G loves..
Only directory and cheap submission won't help you in 2014..
Do Social media and come up with new strategies, like GPO, Local Citation and all..
Hope this helps..
Wow, that's a very big question. It really depends on your competition and how much work you need to do to out rank them. If you would like to private message me your website, I'll take a look and advise from there. Thanks Ray
There is no count for directory submission, social bookmarking, blog posting and other off page activities. It is based on the competition level of a Keyword and geographical area too. All these above if you do it gradually and naturally will more fruitful
