How to find companies that need outsourced IT services?
I just started with Tech Advisors. I am trying to find companies that need IT services. Tech Advisors is an outsourced IT managed service company. So I am looking for companies with 10-150 employees and do not have a dedicated IT person. Its hard trying to figure out what companies to target. What are some ways I could find clients that need our service? I am currently going to networking events. I joined a BNI group. Trying to make connections on LinkedIn, Twitter etc... any help would be great.
Have you looked at Discover.org or looking at organizations on LinkedIn that are in the range and size. Might be a good place to start. I believe Discover.org is a paid service.
So you are in the it business and out sourcing did you know there are more smaller businesses then big. i'll write a small strategy for you bellow what i would do.

You have an office why not take a few free copy's of antivirus to the business you fancy targeting. Drop a leaflet off and the free antivirus introduce yourself leave it at that or i just fixed xyz business up.
Its not what you give to your customer it the way you make them feel.
Have you looked on freelance sites build your profile up on there as well i want to see your name all over for the right reasons.
Have you networked with the right people for the right reason's hey you get me business i'll get you business.
Can you help a charity or set a program up to help trainees people who want to get things like cisco mcse.
That was a little that was running threw my head it should help you target a little better.
I have a company directly in this space. In my experiences, I found BNI to not be the best use of our time (..this was years ago when we were a startup).
What was effective for us was opening up sales channels and creating funnels, where we were referred in by trusted authorities. Understanding that IT is a very intimate subject since you are dealing with (at times) people's livelihoods and their sensitive intellectual property. Know that your competitors (..and there are a LOT of them) will be pursuing the same things you're doing now to find business. My suggestion would be to think outside of the box and find tangent ways to funnel business back to you.
you can check linkedin mainly and see company employee there , talk with them and see website, talk with founders and co-founders what they can offer you,
Indian market is good to outsource to USA as rates will less you can make more profit.

For some businesses, IT outsourcing is not a priority so they might go looking for partners in:
I’d say all of the other social media outlets are not that serious for finding a business partner. They are good for familiarizing yourself with the candidate’s work and get to know their brand style, but definitely not the place to start your search from.
there are companies that are paying proper attention to their IT support. For them, it’s not just system management, it’s also about data security, network setups and even 24 hour monitoring. For these businesses, a single data leak can cost thousands/millions of dollars and possibly even brand reputation. These companies take their partnerships seriously and usually go with IT agencies that are local and/or recommended by trusted partners.
These companies start their search by learning about every IT agency in their town, city and state. National companies may outsource to multiple IT agencies in different locations.
When there is an issue of data sensitivity, it’s important you can get emergency technician help in a matter of hours not days. If hiring a local IT agency is not possible, companies can hire virtual CIOs.
This is why it’s important to be active in networks, delight your past, present and future customers and cherish your reputation.

I work with Granite Telecommunications and not many companies know we have a separate division called Network Integration. We do everything from structured cabling, hardware installs/rollouts, WiFi, CCTV, electrical work and hourly break/fix work on a National level. This is also the hardest part of my job. We have techs in all 50 states and Canada. Free site surveys. We provide engineered proposals and a project manager to every project as well. Cold Calling doesn’t yield the best results and I’ve done a lot of my own marketing. We don’t required any contract or volume commitments. This is something I struggle with. Thanks for your question. I hope we can find some new resources.
Did you try to look for such companies on local (and not only) business listings websites? I've found such companies' directories very useful at the time. Also, you can check out some companies' rview serviceslike directv customer service and other websites where customers can left comments and complaints on company's profile, as usually"company info" field includes the number of employees
The best way is to ask Google about it. By the way, I can able to answer you if I know which country or province you have targeted. Every company have their own price list which aren't similar with another company. For example, if you search a web design & web development company in Singapore. You will find Verz Design. Similarly, in this article, you can understand a web design pricing in singapore.
