What is the best ways to recruit for a franchise?
I have a tennis franchise and want to recruit tennis instructors. There is a huge number of average tennis teachers who aren't standing out, and there are many certification courses, which only provide basic knowledge and theory. My methods are proven and I've had a 100% success rate.
Beside Google, Linkedin, and Facebook are there professionals who are specialized for organizing specialization courses? Are there any other tactics I should consider when recruiting for a franchise?
You have already done the hard part - determined who your optimal franchise candidate is! Now, where can you attract the attention of these tennis instructors, whether online, through professional organizations, at events, or elsewhere.
LinkedIn may be a good source for you, join any tennis or sports instructor Groups and build your contact list by participating and helping others in these groups. Promote using social media and use logical hashtags so people could search and find you. Start a blog and promote it with social media and on your website.
Would they be members of some professional organization? See if you can buy a list from Tennis Pros Magazine or the ATP, or whatever groups they might belong to. Reach out to tennis clubs and offer referral bonuses for great candidates (only paid if they sign!), exhibit at conventions or other industry events. Run an ad in tennis magazines or on their websites.
Consult with a marketing director for Starbucks. (Or a similar brand based franchise) the best way to get people involved is to make part of it about them.
your last line of first paragraph of question is interesting "My methods are proven and I've had a 100% success rate." please apply same method on finding instructors,...my experience shows that it is totally depends on your vision if you think only locally then past the advertisement on local news paper,if your vision at national level then advertisement on electronic media and if your vision is world-wide then put query on all social networks,...
This is a wonderful question and I hope I can answer it to your satisfaction.
Well use the three media Linked in, Face book and Google to your advantage. Advertise in them, in such a way that getting the best out of the tennis trainer professionalism (i.e. get them to know your franchise) as well as to contact you for work. This is hunting two birds with the same stone and a win..win situation for you as well as for them. Always look at win..win situation , It makes for a good advertising as well as good business and is worth spending for. So, in conclusion sell your self as well as attract others to be able to approach and promote you business. No loss, in spending for that.
Please let me know if you need help and please keep in touch telling me how you did .
Ask the Franchisor for some help and advise. It's in their interest that you are successful, as I assume you are paying royalties for using their branding and support etc...
seek, trade me and my job space are always good places... seek in particular still seems to get the best candidates.
However, so other ideas to think about are:
1. run an open "recruitment session" where you advertise that at X time/date you will be at Y location and come along for open recruitment session. Then put any candidates who arrive through a breif Interview (10/15 minutes) to get a feel for them and put them through a real test of coaching someone for about 10/15 minutes. The cream of the crop you can then take forward to more detailed interviewing, reference checking etc.
2. Actually promote and recruit through the centres that are actually doing the training. Talk to the trainers about who are the best candidates and poach them!
Good luck, and give us a call on 0800 HRtoolkit if you need some help
The gold mine is created when you solve a problem. The treasure becomes valuable when you know who the miners are that feel the pain. Your challenge is to provide the miners with the location of the treasure.
The task is to plant treasure maps wherever the miners are when they are feeling the pain, discussing the pain, or looking for a solution to the pain.
Post your solution (text/video/testimonials/results) in the location where tennis instructors are seeking better results. If there is no location for that, become the location (without selling them on your solution). Merely become the industry knowledge base on becoming better. Best wishes as you excel!
That said, I now need to implement this recommendation for people that want to be better at sending thank you cards. LOL!
As I understand your point to recruit tennis instructors ,I prefer you recruit fresh graduates , they can be trained & cerified according to certain courses , the main point in fresh graduates ,they can be shaped according to your needs , those who are experienced specially in franchse will be in certain level after certifcation , those with No years of experience may find dificult to be trained again , So I think to recruit fresh graduates .
I would contact the USTA, ATA and other tennis organizations to find out how you can partner with them by offering jobs or careers to qualified individuals that are connected to their organizations.
A sports franchise attempting to locate qualified Instructors, I would start with the US National Tennis Association, They could give you a plethora of qualified instructors looking for employment. Not every member is a national or world champion. Chris Everate opened her own academy here in Fl. but not all can afford that. There has to be hundreds of pro and semi-pro tennis players looking. I would think that both the Tennis Assoc. as well as tennis players would be interested. Assuming I understand your business platform.
