How to get ranked on top 3 in Google?
I want to rank in the top of search results on Google. What are the best ways to get ranked fast? I've already applied many tips and tricks on this regard. Any advice on what else I can try?
I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Do you want to get top 3 overall on Google, or for your local area. I hope you understand that Google has become so localized in search results that in order to even be found outside your local area you need to do any or any combination of these things: Have physical locations in each area you serve, create pages for each area you serve with unique content for that area, or buy Google AdWords. All three are very expensive propositions. No matter what, there is no fast way to get ranked. You have to work at it all the time. One good way of doing this is to create a list of where your web site stands with certain keywords. Do this on Google, Yahoo and Bing. It does not have to be exhaustive or extensive, but at least I can share with my clients where they stand, and if anything happens, recommend some things that will help them get back up in the rankings. Remember that you will get listed for your community first, and then, if your search terms will work for another location, you will find yourself there. But don't expect any high rankings outside your local area unless you do any of the three things I mention above. Competition in outside those areas will push you down as they get priority. It used to be that you could list on your home page all the locations you serve, and have a reasonable chance to get some kind of ranking. It is not allowed now.
Firstly , you need to do a proper keyword research which includes relevant and targeted search terms. You can consider Google Adwords keyword tool to check keywords for your business.
After getting done with this, next is to implement and use all those search terms in website content, headings, title, meta description and meta keywords.
Along with these on page activities, you should keep a check on your website performance, whether it is good in terms of ;
user experience
navigation
bounce rate
and other such factors as these things also matters a lot to make website visible on top search results.

Review your competition
Analyse achievable keyphrases within your budget and compared to competitors
Factors to consider:
Domain Age, Frequency of fresh content, Social Activity, Natural link profiles, content quality.
Would recommend a technical audit, backlink profile, social audit - are you engaged with influencers? and go from there...
Do you actually need to be top of Google? What is your competition like? Are you using social media? Is your website optimised? Are you providing regular and bespoke, original content to your site and promoting it?
To rank on 3rd place of Google SERPS, you will need to be the 3rd most relevant result of the index for the given query, the given query is the tricky bit, you can be the 1st result for "hdgtr6eghsjjdhdhh7" in less than a week(blunt example but you get the idea), if you are looking for shortcuts, they do exist but will likely become inconsistent without some serious work, this in on a different level altogether and to be honest if you are struggling with a budget for PPC you will find it hard to get SEO done at that level. Study your options with paid traffic and use regular methods to promote your site organically.
Do some keyword research – what are your target market searching for? Use the Google Keyword Tool if you want something free. Start with basic phrases and find out what people in your area are looking for. Remember, in most cases, the more searches a phrase has, the more competition there will be for it – don’t try and climb Everest in the first month; start with some niche phrases that you can get quick wins on and use them. Or you can also hire an expert from SEOclerks, to help you.
Some great answers so far, especially what @Rory mentions.
If you have a high budget, you can try to outbid competitors with key phrases you want to rank for. I don't usually recommend that one though because I personally think it's a waste of money trying to compete in a bidding war like that.
If this is for your BullseyeEngagement company, have you fully developed buyer personas for your services? Have you mapped out what it is that you do differently from your competition that those buyer personas would be interested in? Do you have optimized landing pages? Do you have a plan for content marketing that would connect with and interest those personas? I know all of that is not SEO specific, but the SEO of the old days, like plain old keywords ranking is not going to get you very far. You may be able to tap into a local market as local SEO is easier to get a foothold than national campaigns. You just have to seriously target your demographic and those buyers who are looking for your services.
Thanks you sherry for the suggestions. Yes, my concern is related to BullseyeEngagement website. I am looking to identify an ideal target audience. We have the ocean wise traffic from US, EU , RU but no keyword ranking.
Hi Grace. There are no silver bullets for getting better Google rankings, but with a coordinated strategy, some elbow grease and some time, it is an achievable objective. The single best thing you can do is create content that is shared widely on the web. Among the chief factors Google looks at when ranking websites, the number and quality of backlinks is arguably the most significant. Content being what you need to make, the area of expertise you should seek in professionals to help you with this task is content marketing strategy. Be advised, this is not a one time operation. Content marketing is the new marketing, you have to do it forever -- or at least until the Internet is over.
Thank you for the advice. As I'm weekly add new content in the blog but didn't emphasize on content marketing area. I want to know to more about content marketing strategies.
Honestly I would say unless you have been doing SEO for a while and are at least moderately skilled in it, you should hire an agency to implement this for you. Obviously this all depends on your niche, the amount of traffic the SERPs get that you're trying to rank for, all of those things. An agency that is seasoned in SEO & online marketing will be able to give you an outline of what they're going to do to get you ranked with those queries. Without knowing the business, the keywords you're trying to rank for, keyword research, etc. it's pretty difficult to give you any tips. SEO isn't just a "do one thing and you're done" kind of solution. It takes constant and continuous work to get ranking.
Seriously, in today's SEO landscape getting to the top of Google is the wrong goal.
You need to think WHY you want to get to the top of Google SERPS.
And then "do some stuff" that will give you the same result.
You'll end up in a better position in Google, but you'll also a whole bunch of other benefits.
So, think bigger, the Internet is more than Google results.
And SEO in 2015 has become more than Search Engine Optimisation.
Target market is US and EU. I have used target keywords with phrases like Performance Management Software, Performance Management Process, Performance Management Best Practices. But no ranking of any keywords and I am focusing from last 4 months and still did not get any rank.
