How can we get professional buyers to come to our fashion show?
My company is planning on holding a fashion show in July 2020 in Thailand. We're looking for ways to invite professional buyers to the show. How we can get in touch with the right people and get them to attend?
Firstly, you could identify on what basis you want your business to run. Moving forward you have to choose your target audience (it could be someone very rich and is planning to make a collection of unique ones or someone who wants to buy in a huge bulk). Age and sex is also a factor which you have to refer to but mostly it will be the youth as it is a fashion show. Keeping these factors in mind, you could make a website presenting all your data and also giving them an overview of your designs. This website could be famous as you float them in your WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram id. If they view your website and it is strong enough to catch their attention, they will be more than willing to buy from you.
If you have contact with someone who could act as an agent and just float this message around, it would help your fashion show be a true success. Website is one thing but one the other hand you could also host an audition for ones who want to be a part of the fashion show by keeping an award that they would win if they are liked the most etc.
This will attract professional buyers but to sustain their true attention, the quality is all that would matter so these are secondary things that you have to look forward to but your primary approach should be the quality that you are selling (the designs, the cloth material, etc.)
I would start with identified your professional buyers: who would they be, what jobs would they hold, and what digital platforms would they use. For instance, finding what professional trade show was recently held in your region or capital, and getting the participant catalog with contact info. Secondly, finding some of them on social media. Linked in could be a great tool for that. Send a personalized invitation to each of them, and don't forget to mention that you have extra time just for them after the even for a business meeting. Another great way would be to have someone in the industry who could do useful introductions. And of course, make sure you announce the event on all possible social media channels you have and ask friends and colleagues to report.
I feel data mining and finding out who the buyers are by watching popular fashion shows and politely reaching out to them through their channels works by sending a press release and pitch deck help. Also, ask for referrals directly from the brands you want to associate with usually helps.
