How would you go about fundraising for a nonprofit?
This is for a nonprofit that is established to help fledgling NGOs to establish their credibility so that they will be able to establish supportive, lasting relationships with donors. It needs to be able to investigate individuals and their causes, provide initial monetary support, office supplies, and possibly other supplies as well. It is not meant to be continually sustaining.
I would propose direct mail to mail order donors. That would be a good list to test. Once they respond you get their email addresses for future solicitations.
Here is some really good free resources, a bundle of "how-to"webinars about fundraising for non-profits.

The woman that runs the company and the website raised well over $70MM for various causes worldwide, so she's a top-tier expert.
Good luck!
First, if the nonprofit is in the U.S., I would check the status of their 501 c 3 application, also their articles of incorporation along with their mission statement before any fundraising efforts.
Thank you, the nonprofit I am hoping to develop is in the US, but the NGOs that it will (mainly) seeking to support with a leg up are not. I am working with around 8 motivated individuals and out of them are 5 that are established, but still in great need: 2 in Ghana, 1 in Pakistan, 1 Liberia, and 1 Uganda. There are several others who need even more help as well, because they are still in the very beginning stages due to no means for support and nothing to help them establish credibility, but they are sincere and eager.
Message me and I can share a link about a new partner we work with. 30% goes back - this is a value for each donor long term and could be self-sustaining. Thanks
Here's a pretty good article on that: http://www.conceptlink.com/nonprofit-startup-funding/ Also try crowdfunding websites -- Google this for more info.
She sounds like someone I could definitely learn some great things from, thanks for the tip!
