What are some quality questions to ask a distributor?
I have a new product and am looking for distributors. What would be some good questions to ask them that could potentially lead to a better business relationship, and how can I motivate them to make investments?
1) how much is he willing to invest into samples on a monthly basis?
2) how much of his personal time is he/she willing to spare per work day?
3) can he/will he, be willing to provide a bank guarantee for credit stocks?
Faisal before you can ask the right question you need to be sure that you are asking them to the right person at the right distributor for your product. target them first.
After that you know what you want to hear the answers you wuld like to get on the topics you wrote, will they invest in you, your product and your company in that order. So trust is a important issue here, before asking the bigger questions. trust is cainded be questions is how lang is he working at the firm, did he change things in thit period of time that was succesfull, let him talk about his succes.
Than go to your product and ask quesions that related to that, are there in his poimt of view problems that your product can resolve and if so what is the valeu of the problems now in his company or in his/the market
when you bring out problem valeu you can also bring out investment valeu for your product. Good luck so far
A good way to get started is to ask these potential distributors of your product the following question. Ask them to provide a recent example of a new brand launch success story. Key retailer acceptance ? Cost of entry ? How long did it take ? Key elements of the success strategy?
