I have a business in two states. What do I need to know about operating in multiple states?
I have a law firm in Chicago, Illinois and one in Naples, Florida. Is there anything I need to know? Anything I'm forgetting about operating in multiple states?
That is funny, we just moved to Naples. When it comes to Google my Business, if you have your biz on google, this can be complicated with multiple locations, they require to send you a code for verification and many times people complain they don't receive the code in order to verify their business. We actually went through this after moving our firm to a different/smaller location in NY before moving down here. During this COVID 19 times, I don't recommend doing any changes 'online' through any algorithms until everything goes back to normal and you can actually speak to a human being.
Well, operating in multiple states is a great idea. Have a great workforce team and place your service to does who really need it and those who are unaware.
Many countries' taxation laws put forward various laws making it mandatory to have registration in each state in which you are operating.
For example: In India, under the GST regime it is mandatory to obtain registration for each state under which you are operating or doing your business.
