I have a UK-based film production company and want to start generating business in the Middle East. How can I find clients in these countries?
I have a company based in london and I want to start trading in wealthy, Middle Eastern countries like Qatar. How can I create a network and generate business over there? How can I find clients or agencies?
Any suggestions are more than welcome.
One of good option is to attend Event / seminars to build relations.
You can check your related events on dubai Calendar, and mange ur visit. http://www.dubaicalendar.ae/en
I found that quite useful when i visit.
I think the best way to start is to go there first and do your business market research very well and take into consideration the formal and informal part of your research and listen to the words of months .
I will advise to seek for the top 5 businesses that are already doing well in such flied for that matter they are your direct competitors , , I will like to work with you also as I have 3 agencies and I could be of great help ,
I find LinkedIn is a good way to make contacts abroad. It's certainly a good starting point for any marketing/contact campaign. You can do a certain amount for free and then pay for additional services and sales activities.
I hope this helps - let me know
Hi Riccardo, I would recommend you make contact with the UKTI and find out about delegations to the area to make those all important personal contacts that others have mentioned.
1st the stories which you'll produce, must be from our real life, in case you need to distribute at Egypt & middle east.
2nd through advertising.
3rd holding parties.
Like others mentioned, the best way is face-to-face meetings. This is mainly because the Persian Gulf culture prefers doing business with people they get to know.
I recommend attending some conferences in that area, that will have more impact than online or other cold marketing.
Hello Mr. Sai: I am unfamiliar with the laws of the UK and with the laws of Middle Eastern Countries, as it relates to media production activities. You should probably first visit the appropriate Ministry governing your field of service and get guidance from them. Because of my lack of knowledge of the laws abroad, I cannot give you any advice on how your might network and generate business in other countries. I am very sorry that I cannot be of more assistance in providing you with some guidance on the subject you pose.
Being in the BPO industry, one of our challenges is to get our services across target regions. We have been largely successful of our strategies, some of which I would like to share with you.
1. Appoint a Local Representative in your Area of Interest - It would be beneficial for your company to have local presence in the Middle East. If your budget allows, you can set up a small office and hire either a local or designate from your company for a period of 6 months.
2. Enter into Global Business Partnerships with a local rep or company - The Global Partner will be in charge in developing the business in the Middle East.
3. Use comprehensive digital and social media marketing strategies - There are several platforms you can use aside from Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google. You can use Elance, O-Desk to look for potential partners and clients. Make sure the social media accounts are linked directly to your website.
You need someone on the ground in the country usually a consultant without that forget it. If you need to set up a business you usually need a local sponsor anyway.
Mr Riccardo , As I am working & living in gulf countries ,I can work on getting clients for you if you like ,let me know .
