How do I start a KPO (knowledge process outsourcing) business?
I want to start a KPO business in the financial services sector managing the books and processing of invoices. However, I don't know how to interact with potential clients nor do I have any client data yet. How do I get started?
I am assuming you are good at what you intend to do and that you have a passion for helping clients. That's the right start.
Almost 100% of the time, the next key issue is to get a powerful marketing effort started. If you are like most business owners, you are not necessarily experienced in doing that. However, focusing on it and doing it right is essential for getting the results you need in the shortest period of time. And the good news... it does not HAVE to cost you a ton of money. However, it does require you to think some things through and follow the processes that are known to work.
A million people will tell you that they have the solution for you, and I would not suggest that what they have does not work. However, I can guarantee that I have a process that works, it's easy and convenient, and you will be able to obtain all the assistance you need -- even if you decide you cannot afford to hire someone like me to work consistently with you one-on-one. If you would like to talk more, you are welcome to private message me.
In the meantime, I KNOW that networking is the way to start, whether you want to do it or not. As a result, I have written an ebook on "Networking... for Those Who Hate It". which you can get for free by going here: bit.ly/NetworkingEbook.
And having the right message is what allows you to effectively market without having to spend cash. Again, if you are interested, I did a webinar recently entitled "How to Create KILLER Marketing Messages" and although a bit long, describes all you need to know. You can watch that at no cost by going here: http://bit.ly/23y5dCs
I hope this is useful.
Not sure if the term is really appropriate here. It is more an outsourcing business from my perspective. It may be just different use of terms. I,would start by writing. And publishing on things that you can, uniquely offer based on your experience. You can use some of your past experience without mentioning your prior employers around things you have done in the recent past. I think of KPO not as Outsourcing but providing unique insight into information that may assist a,potential client.
Start with an Open Innovation Process, the Business Model Generation is an excellent tool in order to start, even if you are in the Phase 0, it would be necessary to make the trend and lean canvas. The Value proposition Map related with the Business Model Generation it would help you too in order to get the empathy Map with potential clients. Remember that a Phase of information and research it is really important, you need to have a context with an holistic view.
I suggest you make an appointment with a Score counselor and develop a business plan......
When I was launching my KPO business, I started with writing my business plan via https://www.ogscapital.com/locations/business-plan-consultants-in-london-united-kingdom service. This business plan helped me attract sponsors and partners. Unless you have a solid business plan, sponsors will never give you money.
