If you had an extra 250K - what would you do with it?
Given that the intent is to make that 250K grow quite a bit.
USE OF EXTRA $250K (1) "wow" existing clients (2) grow profits by intensifying brand equity, business development, sales.

Aanand:
By extra $250K, I take it to mean money that I will not need for daily activities for a significant time horizon. If that were the case I would create a diversified portfolio of equities (18-20) across the energy sector, bio-pharmaceutical sector, financial sector, retail sector, and media sector. I would start with companies like EOG Resources, Cheniere Energy, Inc., Core Laboratories N.V, Enterprise Products Partners L.P., Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., Gilead Sciences, Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squibb Co, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Morgan Stanley. Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Visa Inc, Macys, The TJX Companies, Inc., Google, Criteo SA, and Comcast Corporation. I would expect to get high single digits to double digit returns on my investment over time (with dividend reinvestment) and to be able to double my initial investment within a decade.
I believe the best opportunities for growth today exist with small business. I would use $250,000 to start a Small Business Incubator in my home town of Fort Myers, Florida. For those that are not familiar with the "incubator" concept: Business incubators are programs designed to support the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business resources and support services. In creating an Incubator; management provides access to its network of contacts and gains "ground floor" access to new opportunities.
Wow! That's actually a very good idea, John. Thank you for your input! I have never really thought about an incubator concept but I know there would be countless details associated with it to work through before launching such an endeavor.
