If you want to build a high PR backlink... make a video (3 minutes max) showing your infographic with music and text (slide show) explaining everything or use voice-over and upload it to your 'business' YouTube channel.
From there, you just imbed it onto your site in a 'Related Post' and you'll have one very high PR9 backlink helping your site rank on YouTube and in the regular search results on Google.
Before you make the video, first take a look at what everyone else (top 3 video's) is doing on YouTube... model your video after theirs... look at the descriptions and what keywords they're using.
You can use Animoto to make the video and right now I believe they're offering a free 30 day trial of their business level platform... http://animoto.com/business
If you have a good quality infographic visual.ly is a good place to post. I would consider it a quality link. I hope you are posting the infographic on your website first, then distributing to other websites.
When we create an infographic we produce in PDF, jpeg, and html formats. This allows us to distribute to a variety of PDF, photo sharing and infographic websites. This does give some link equity but more importantly we get downloads, shares, and traffic.
We submit to over 60 different places for each infographic. Having created and distributed over 40 infographics we find that is what works best.
Hi Scott -
First, it does appear as if the links on Visual.ly ARE "do follow". However, most user-generated content submission sites don't, including most social media including Twitter and others.
If you're really looking to boost your website's visibility and ultimately have it rank higher in search engines you need to create and distribute high quality, valuable content. As one commenter said Visual.ly may have a high PageRank, but that actually matters very little these days. Trusted websites that provide relevant and valuable content are making their way up the search engine ladder. Continue creating valuable content on your own site and that will ultimately boost you.
Visual.ly doesn't have nofollow links, so it does give you "link equity." They also have a 7/10 page rank, which is really good, which also makes the link valuable. You can search any search engine for "Company PageRank" and you'll be able to find it with ease.
This is the best step-by-step guide I've seen to determine whether a website has nofollow links or not:
Visual.ly is the best place to post your infographic and it gives link equity and it helps to boost your rank of the website. I also create an infographic to post and get some great result from that.BUT Infographic must be unique and informative for user NOT only marketing purpose as content. ALSO indicate some quality site resource on the end of the infographic.
"Link equity" -- defined?
Use NoDoFollow add-on in your browser: http://greekgeek.squidoo.com/nodofollow-plugin-chrome-firefox
You can check when a link is "do follow" or "no follow" with a click.
This works on visual.ly as well.
Most of the social media sites protect losing their seo juice by creating nofollow links. Check it out.
Yes, Visual.ly gives you a dofollow link. Make sure the image is hosted on your domain as well.
Always good to get a link from a high PR websites , especially a dofollow link .
So my answer put simply is that , do post good quality infographics on Visual.ly , and make sure you have you web address written on it .
Well, visual.ly will not link back to your site and doesn't even give you link equity because it has nofollow tag active what it will only help is getting you traffic not more than that !! But still I feel that would be good enough.....
Now sure your visual.ly link is nofollow for a client website it have no too much worth but for blogger still good. if you want check link is nofollow then go to seobook and find there firefox free tools. There you will find a tool with the help of that tool you easily find your link is nofollow or dofollow.
Yes, you get a High PR 7 do follow backlink from visual.ly, you need just make a awesome infographic and submit in your site then submit on visual.ly and you got a dofollow backlink to your site which PR ,
I also got that backlink from visual.ly/doodle-army-2-mini-miltia
to my site http://www.techbian.com/download-mini-militia-pc-windows-mac/
Install search status add-on on your Firefox browser. This add-on will show you which one is do-follow and no-follow. And visual.ly give us no-follow link.
Infographic is hard to create and time-consuming. I just add video, presentation file pdf to visual.ly. These files are not as strong as infographic, but it's still helpful.
