iPhone Users, Do you prefer to use the Google Chrome Browser or the current default, Safari?
Chrome has been pushing iPhone users to use Google Chrome as their main iPhone browser, although currently iPhone's default is to launch Safari to access web content when clicking on a link. They recently created #OpenInChromeController ( http://blog.chromium.org/2013/05/integrate-chrome-with-your-ios-app.html ) to help rectify this, but it makes us wonder... Would anyone be really upset if they lost Safari? Who even uses Safari unless forced to do so... Please share this poll or provide your feedback below:
I've always found that Chrome is more user-friendly and accessible, but I think alot of it comes down to personal preference.
Chrome for 99% of browsing. It allows for more than 8 windows (I have 14 open right now) and also is easier to navigate on.
However Chrome has a funny problem of caching pages it shouldn't and not showing updated content (like MRTG graphs of my dedicated server stats) and so for those specific instances I use Safari.
Definitely Google Chrome. Even before Google released their browser on iOS I found myself using the Google app over Safari despite it being a pseudo-browser.
I've always just used Safari just because it is the default. I hadn't used Chrome on my iphone, but just tried it. I am sure I would get used to it, but I am so used to the prompts to open a new page at the bottom and how you scan through several open pages on Safari. Looks like you can do this on Chrome, just a different lay out. Is there really much of a difference though?
Hello! I always use Safari. It is good for my needs. I have never used Chrome because I have never needed to use other browser.
I actually use Dolphin, as it seems quicker than both Chrome and Safari, but this sort of underscores your point that Safari users may be seeking alternatives.
I regularly use Chrome but mainly for the sync with the desktop bookmarks etc...
Would happily dump Safari.
While I would like to use Chrome, Safari is tied deep into the OS and so it often by default reverts back to Safari. There also tends to be issues in the app space when trying to use TestFlight, it requires you to be connecting inside Safari.
I prefer Chrome browser because I have an iPhone and a Windows 10 laptop. So I am kind of comfortable with Chrome more than Safari.
