Language support on YouTube: one YouTube channel with multiple languages or multiple YouTube channels?
I am building up a global brand with video content in different languages. So far, I've had mostly English language content and some German language content and presented the German content in a separate playlist.
Going forward, as I develop more content in other languages, I am considering whether to house the different languages on the same YouTube channel, one playlist per language, or to house them in language specific YouTube channels.
The branding effect (and perhaps SEO) is consolidated in one channel, but the user experience is more local with separate channels.
From a sales background -- First ask your clients.........Receive their feedback.

Separate Youtube channels would be the way too go, unless you are focusing on specific niche.
A niche within a niche.
Eg English and German on a worldwide scale.
Creating content is a lot of work. So best too outsource or have a spokesperson to be the presentor for the different languages.
Pick the language you are best too become the expert and just go for this?
You need too put yourself in a position where you are attracting your ideal client.
However from your question it seems your confused who your ideal customer is.
Yes its great a global brand with different languages........ What really does that mean? Not much - sorry too be blunt. Also SEO -- Search Engine Optimisation -- This is old school thinking -- how much hard work do you want too make for yourself.
Start too really think outside the square and get your ROI.... Your leaving so much money on the table with your marketing spend.
DO THE GROUND WORK FIRST, Before thinking about multiple Youtube channels....... -- First get clear on who you want too attract.
If your confused.........buyers will be confused.......
However if your ideal customer is top business people with English and german language and clients -- then this is the one and only youtube channel you need.
If you have English and Spanish then that's another youtube channel, however have a different expert -- outsource someone else.
Its about positioning.........in the market place. You can't be an expert too all clients.

I agree with pretty much most the people here that you should have seperate channels, as it improves
- The content is more specific to the target audience
- You mentioned branding and I actually think that the the effect is more profound if you have seperate channels as every country will view your brand differently.

Multiple channels would be the way to get the most out of your video marketing. Your channel description can be in each language then and optimization can be done by country which will be easier and country specific. It will be a cleaner and less confusing way with added SEO benefits.

The brand uses English as the main language, but each video repeats in the languages that you want to position in each country.
If you get an efficient seo, you should create a specific channel by region or country. The problem I can find is that it requires a lot of work.

I would suggest to create separate channels. You may or may not want to use the same youtube account for this. Though Youtube allows you to create multiple channels under the same account.
With different channels for different language, you'll be able to optimize and track them effectively which will help you to strategize further and develop the videos accordinly. It also impact the optimization (You can call it SEO) process as well by making it more convenient and efficient
There's some good input already provided. A lot depends on budget. One way to stretch a YouTube marketing budget is to have those videos subtitled in English as well as translated subtitles. That way you also leverage the content for SEO results in both English and target language audiences.
I would suggest having separate channels under the same e-mail address and connected to the same URL. Many large companies do this and it works because you are targeting separate locations and niches. Content it difficult to have across languages and especially over geographic areas. You want to optimize each channel for each local and language. This also separates your analytics and your content will be specialized for each channel.
A channel will automatically be assigned one language as well and won't show up in search results of other languages as much. The benefit of having separate channels out way the benefits of having only one.
Based on my experience working with global clients running various campaigns on YouTube and other popular social media sites, I would highly recommend that you should have a different channel for a different language. YouTube is the second largest search engine and the fact is that the person who is from Spain would definitely see YouTube in Spanish language first. This is a great question! I currently have an English-only YouTube channel but plan to add Spanish later this year and have been contemplating the same thing.
