Ok, first, I'd suggest you play it close to what you're good at. Instead of starting a dog walking business, why not do something related to marketing but instead of being a jack of all trades, narrow it down.
What you want to do is choose an industry then choose a niche within that industry where you can excel. As someone with a marketing background, you'll be able to do a market analysis fairly easily.
From that assessment, you'll understand where you should apply pressure.
