Which online payroll system would you recommend?
We have started an HVAC company recently. It's been going on for a few months now. We have company employees and subcontractor employees who do some of the HVAC installs. We have been writing checks in-house to employees. We want to move to a payroll system. A system that allows us to pay our hourly and salaried employees, but also be able to pay our subcontracted employees as well. We are in search of a system that can handle that, plus things like PTO, overtime, tax deduction, all the works basically. That way when we grow we have a system that can grow with us. What would you recommend as a cost-effective but efficient and great running, easy-to-use payroll system that can handle our needs?

We use Quickbooks (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/) as our solution for everything - bookkeeping/taxes/payroll. They have a user-friendly interface/platform and an awesome customer support. Also, they have been the most cost-efficient choice when it comes to payroll services. Easy to print a check or simply direct deposit to your employees' accounts.
As for taxes, they have a service that you can sign up for and they will take care of all payroll tax filings for you.

We suggest a local or regional payroll company. Make sure they go beyond just providing payroll. Many provide HR Support services to varying degrees. A payroll administrative service will typically be less expensive than a PEO. Which works better for you depends, in large part, on your requirements, as well as where you are located.
