What suggestions do you have when choosing a business name?
I am very confused about choosing a business name for my IT business (web, graphics, and video making service).
I would prefer a business name that is short, easy to remember, and one that I will be able to find a domain name for.
I tried using name suggestion tools but they didn't work for me.
Can anyone help me by suggesting a good and short brand name, preferably starting with the letter G or S?
I would prefer that the name has a .com domain available. However, I don't mind choosing another extension domain if .com is not available.
I see on https://www.hostplax.com there is domain sale going on for more than 300 domain extensions but the offer is only for 1st year and renewal cost will be at regular price. I also need suggestions on cheap domain extensions.
I always recommend choosing a short and sweet name that would ideally represent what your business is about. Don't go for long and complicated worlds.
For people, who are already known or have a social following, I would recommend going for personal branding-use your name and surname! Clever idea, because people already know you and it will take time to increase your brand awareness (this wouldn't help for SEO, but people will be googling you instead).
Remember - a good BRAND Name could turn in to a successful business.
Domains.com is generic. If you are more local, I advise you to use a domain with your country's extension, for example, if its UK then domain.co.uk.
It helps a little bit for SEO.
If you are planning big- you can choose .com, .net, etc.
You have a fantastic full name and could work with that as it is your company. ' Dha-Tha Solutions ' Regarding the domain a lot of web developers don't even use their business name as their domain. The guys who built my website are called ' Wisha ' but their domain was https://websitedevelopmentmarketing.com.
I agree with the earlier post with a good name being short and memorable. I also think it is very important to check to make sure the .com domain is available. Also, it may be worth also purchasing the .org, and .net, even if these domains just redirect to the .com address to prevent future competitors from obtaining these domains. Finally, it is worth searching the Trademark Electronic Search System, or TESS system to make sure the name isn't trademarked.
Ideally, all businesses need a "short" (1 or 2 words), "memorable" and "meaningful" (easy to remember after being heard or seen) or "brandable" (relevant word or catchy made up word) domain in the ".com" extension.
A ".com" domain will give you the best instant and long-term advantage as it will help facilitate and optimize the initial launching and future scaling of your business in the eyes of consumers, investors, and peers.
If your budget is limited and you can't initially afford a .com, you can decide to opt for another extension but you will risk the need for a costly and time-consuming re-branding campaign in the future.
A good example of a short, memorable and brandable domain (starting with the letter S) is Samies.com
Other good examples (starting with other letters) include Vozimo.com, Talipa.com and Kalua.com.
