Should I use physical media storage or virtual storage services for my growing consulting company?
We are 5 people and have less than 12 customers.
In order to avoid any loss of information, internal fraud and maintenancy cost and operations, which method should I chose?
Please advise me on good service providers and products.
A mix of physical (onsite) and offsite, as well as cloud (if privacy / security can be guaranteed) - is a solid strategy. Have a look at www.code42.com/crashplan/ as a starting point.
Backup your information on BOTH online and physical storage! Get an external hard drive Terra-bytes and use Amazon S3 and Cloudfront for storage and delivery to your clients. You can also use Google Drive.
For the size of your company as described, I wouldn't bother using a cloud based solution just yet. However you can setup your own cloud, without the hassle of relying a 3rd party company to hold your data or just simple setup a shared NAS drive on your network, a 3TB size should set you back about £250? It is a lot more secure and YOU control it's contents
