Starting a non-profit business how do you get funding? Or what is the best way to get or ask for funding?
I am start a non-profit profit business on educating family on finance? And want to find people to donate the funds will pay for their course, so when covid is contained they will be better equipped to handle their finances, people are deffering and not making rent payments and if the will magically disappear and they need to understand best how to handle this crisis

Starting a nonprofit is not an easy path. Nonprofits are complex business entities. There are over 1.5 million registered nonprofits in the US alone and many of those organizations are competing for donor funding . Just as for-profit startups require a solid business plan and competitive differentiation, the same is true for nonprofits. To successfully launch a nonprofit you'll need to understand how to register and structure your organization to best serve your intended community audience. You'll also need to recruit a board of directors who will provide critical management oversight and help with the process of securing early funding. Most early nonprofit funding comes from contacts closely associated with the early leaders involved in forming the nonprofit. This is largely due to the fact that most grant awards are restricted to organizations that have a proven history of program transparency and success.
Just as many startup founders join an accelerator program to help rapidly incubate their idea, many early nonprofit founders are finding success by identifying a more established nonprofit to serve as a fiscal sponsor. This allows the new nonprofit to essentially run as a program of the established organization. This method gives the new nonprofit structure and a process that allows them to remain compliant during their early formation. Just like the accelerator model this method does require the founder to adhere to strict guidelines determined by the more established entity.
