Want an address in Mumbai, Can I use a Virtual Office address for registering the Company?
Hi, I am looking for an address to register my co in Mumbai in order to start a business. Can I use a Virtual Office address, as the cost for physical commercial space is huge and a residential address cannot be used for commercial purposes.
I believe that is OK to do. You may want to double check with an attorney. For virtual office space, I have found that www.regus.com offers great value and lots of locations around the world you can utilize when traveling abroad.
I've spoken to a few companies and from what I understand, you can use their address as the business mailing address, but you cannot appoint them as Registered Agent to accept service of process and therefore be the company's "registered office". Professional service companies may offer this service. They will not allow themselves to be named as a company's principal office address, but if you aren't required to have one in the particular jurisdiction, they could serve as your registered address and Registered Agent to accept service of process and you'll be all set.
Thank you Benjamin. I checked with my Chartered Accountant, and he has given a go ahead.
Chandra , I'm having a similar issue . The current space I'm registered at wants us to move but we're not sure where to move as office space is so expensive . Can you please share how you've decided to proceed ? Any Information will be appreciated . Thanks !
Hi Amanprit, i am using a registered office service from timesoffice. they generally provide market entry services for non-resident clients/companies but you may want to check with them your specific needs. try reaching them at +91 9619009791.
