What are some good alternatives to Amazon's affiliate advertising program?
I have seen a lot of podcasters use Amazon's affiliate program to make some supplemental revenue. And it seems like a great choice. Amazon is a trusted, very reputable company and many people use Amazon.com. It's also very easy to setup and track.
I was wondering if anybody knows of any similar affiliate programs, most likely from a Top 10,000 or better website? Not looking for network or multi-level marketing ideas.
Amazon has the most popular affiliate programs in the market. Still, why people are looking for the best Amazon affiliate alternatives? What are all the other alternatives to Amazon affiliate programs?

I understand, for most of the successful affiliate marketers, switching to a new affiliate program isn’t a need. Because Amazon’s affiliate marketing program is always best in its way. Only the decline into commission rates made us think of Amazon affiliate alternatives now.
Anyways, instead of putting all the eggs in a basket, you can diversify the monetization sources. Optimize your blog and its content so that it suits any affiliate marketing portfolio and merchants.
Don’t stick Amazon affiliate marketing in mind and narrow down your chances of making money online.
Hey Chris, I know a great alternative to affiliate programs - social capital from Template Monster, where you can earn money even if you have not high-trafficked social accounts or a small blog. You guys can take a look at it here: http://www.templatemonster.dev/social/

Is there a specific reason you are not looking into networks? Such as Affiliate Window, TradeDoubler or CJ to name a few?
As a publisher, I do recommend that you sign up to Affiliate networks as they will have a lot of brands who are exclusive to them, and as such being able to use different networks to reach a wider range of brands to promote. Many of the networks wont have a sign up fee as a publisher and if they do, they would usually pay this back in your first payment run.
Do have a look at the networks such as Affiliate Window, Tradedoubler, Linkshare and Commission Junction (CJ)
Depends upon whether you are looking to secure an actual long-term accruing annuity type of income that provides benefit to businesses, yourself, and social impact on a scalable, limitless platform .... or, if you are looking to align with a program that many are already flogging that generates one-time limited scope revenue stream opportunities. Depends on what your needs and values are ....
I hae found my best success with linkshare.com, http://shareasale.com and commissionjunction (cj.com)
You will find different companies on each of these Affiliate Marketing Sites.
Find sites that have the companies/products that are in your niche.
Try Society of Shop (http://www.societyofshop.com), it gives you hundreds of top merchants to work with in a variety of categories, and makes it very easy to generate affiliate links.
I think Commission Junction is one of the largest affiliate programs. Ebay has one as well.
clickbank.com that is the first place I would look if I were you. They also just released clickbank university that covers exactly how to get started and really be successful as an affiliate or selling your own product.
