What are some of the best free resources for a new entrepreneur?
Hello! I'm new to mosaicHUB and to entrepreneurship! I want to explore starting my own "Birchbox of Books" for all the bookworms out there like me. I'm just not sure where to start, so I want to take a step back and learn more about entrepreneurship first. What are the best free resources I can use to learn more about how to start a business?
Definitely check out Steve Blank's: http://steveblank.com/books-for-startups/
I've learned a bunch of great tips from this book in e-course format: http://www.thesmallbusinessforce.com/free/
There are some very interesting webpages that you can visit and find good entrepreneurship and startup resources such as:
Read "The Lean Startup" by Eric Ries.
At this stage, do not think "starting a business", but "solving a problem". Find out what you need to do (product) to make people want to buy it. The Lean Startup will teach you in just a weekend how to go about doing it.
When you know what your future customers want, then your product will become obvious. Find a way to put it on the market to test it. If it works, then create your business, but you've got time for this.
Good luck and stay in touch

SCORE.org You should be able to locate a local counselor and also tap into a national Score network of counselors by email. Local is usually great, but if you live far from an office --- or are looking for an unusual knowledge, national is good. Both are available for free. Some chapters hold classes-perhaps fee-based. Look for a couple hundred recorded free webinars.
