How can I profit from an idea that I originated and leverage the profit from a ground level perspective? My business will offer the idea to sell but the idea will be public domain. How can I profit from the idea itself as well as business sales? The idea is a new category of art, which I've named and plan to own the domain in which it is named. I'm looking for ideas such as advertising on the website, links on the website to my business doing the art, marketing my business as the originator of the new art, selling certifications to sell the art with legitimacy, charge to list businesses doing the art, etc.
