The best steps to launch a business in my opinion is start a blog. Gain an idea of maneuvering websites. Determining where your specific expertise will be. After that, determine the kind of business that you want to launch and research your field. Please let me know what other questions that you may have. Also, I recently wrote an article about this very thing! Here is the link -> http://www.yourinfodaily.com/11/post/2014/03/columpreneur-the-heart-of-your-wallet-an-entrepreneurs-guide-to-navigate.html
I would do a good survey to see if there is any demand for the product or service you are offering. Then, I would buy a copy of Perry Marshall's book "The Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords" and put ads on Google. If you're on a budget, join some groups on Linkedin.com where your target customers hang out and send them a personal email - first to make a connection, then after you have that, then offer your product/service. Your question is too complicated to answer in a short paragraph so I hope this helps. All the best.
It depends in which kind of online business you want to launch, but creating a blog first its a good idea; you must decide what kind of products or services you wan to offer and test and know your market's needs. Do a little survey and share it with people you know. Use the blog as primary tool to begin beign noticed online, support it with social media. When trying to expand your audience, promote your products and services by guest posting into another blogs; that can help. There are many ways to begin an online business, but first you gotta be sure about what will you offer to your clients.
Setp 1: Add credibility to website like truste certificate, customer testimonials. Social network pages, 1800 nos, physical address etc.
Step 2.: You need to validate the market - Use google Adwords
Step 3: Optimize landing page or other pages - Use google Adwords, crazyegg etc..
Step 4: Then you can heavily focus on SEO optimization. You could start SEO earlier as it takes time to get in build it... But do not focus on SEO first before validating your market and page optimization. And for SEO keyword you need to validate the keyword with Step 2 anyway.
Step 5: Of course you can work on other press release, blogs, link building etc.
This is assuming you have website up and you are launch phase...
An online business is the same as any other business. Your first step should be a competitive analysis, a business plan, a technical plan, plus a digital marketing and sales plan.
The plans do not need to be fancy, but they should highlight all the key points to help you work through the details before you jump into action, spending real money on implementation.
You can skip any of these steps at your peril. We get would be e-business entrepreneurs looking for help after the fact and the majority of their challenges are things that could have easily been avoided by developing detailed plans in the first place.
Launching an online business is more than setting up a website and following the "if you build it, they will come" there has to be a point-of-contact that will drive customers to the website. What that point of contact is can only be determined by the type of business you're developing. It could be via email, blog posts, joining discussion groups in your industry, meet-up events, passing out your card ... the 'online' part of your business is secondary to making contact some other way.
Great advice from all. I would add that each component of your proposed business is simply a hypothesis right now. You need to test each to validate or invalidate. Start with your Customer Segments. Do you really have a customer type that is worthwhile to pursue? What is their problem? What solution do you bring? And then do the analysis if you do deliver a solution to this customer base are there enough of them willing to buy/participate and how much is it gong to cost you to acquire them vs. their life time value? Answer these questions and then you will know whether to move forward or not.
Determine your target audience, how you intend to reach out to them, your budget, and what kind of websites you intend to have. Make a marketing plan and stick to it.
The best thing is Pay Per click with seo in back ground, but I guess it all depends on funds, if low on funds try social media, but this will take time where PPC is instant.
Good Luck with your venture.
The best step to launch a business is start writing contents for your business,Make documents may be physical documents, start writing blogs and postings about your business.Collect the best content,Images, menus do enough research about correct content for the website and then go for a website hosting for your business. That will be the stepping stone and your online journey will start and continue with enough SEO keyword postings, web links postings and so on.
Don't beat this to death thinking about it. Set up a website for your product or service. The real learning will follow. Steve Blank's "Lean Launchpad" can be very instructive, particularly his "business canvas."
If you have an existing business or organization and need to expand online, the best way to start is to inform & talk about your products & services. You can incorporate blogging with a Content Management System (CMS) like WordPress. Blog about topics that are relevant to your product or service. "Online Business" is kind of open-ended, so you can start further defining your web goals, once you know what you want to do, online. Unless you are on some kind of a mission - or think you are the next Steve Jobs (who was on a mission) - find a market first.
Let me be a little clearer about this, find a market before you choose a product/service. Be sure that market is large enough, has need(s) you can satisify, and that they have money to spend.
Sure, you can have great ideas but it is best to know your market and then select those things that people want but aren't getting or aren't getting the way they would like.
Once you've found you market and product, it's time to consider where do they hang out online. Look for forums, specific and complementary to their interests where they talk about their needs, wants, desires, and COMPLAINTS! Generally, it is important to discover their "pains" so you can write your sales copy in the their "native language." Get active on those forums or social spaces, ask and answer questions so people will see you are genuinely interested and have some authority.
Now put out a website with your offer (store) and a blog. Start creating other assets such as G+ pages, YouTube channels and other social network properties. Post helpful content and point back to your site for "more help" and "valuable information." When people come to your site, give them more in depth info on how to solve their problems with you product and give them eBooks etc. with the info in exchange for their email address.
Start sending them emails about their interest area, asking them how they are getting along with the eBook(s) and suggest they go to your offer page(s), offer them extra value/discounts for being on your email list, and keep them happy. Don't forget to ask them if there's something they would like to know or some product you can get them.
Have fun and good luck!

1. First step is an idea with all details .
2.work Procedure .
3.Tools of work .
5.Targeted clients .
6.work experience .
All these steps need to be explained very well , work procedure is very important from different points because the work should be done systematically in order to get smooth work without any delay , same thing with tools of work . the main work is the targeted markets & clients by asking WHO IS MY CLIENT .
The best steps to launching a business in my mind, would be social media. Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Twitter. Another way to launch your business would be to join the Chambers of Commerce to speak with other business owners about your company.
1 Write a Business Plan
2 look at the market
3 look at your target clients
4 find out who is your competition
5 Decide which type of company is best for you (ltd, sole trader)
6 Register a domain name
7 Open a Facebook page
8 Open a Google + page
That is step 1
really don't know, too many online business ... from merely blogging to a online magazine or to Saas to other Cloud solutions ... or simple web presence with outsource services.
However a quick, cheap, and simple way is to just do it in the cheapest form as possible and test the reaction of the market, than decide the next step .... "shoot" and "target" - very little loss incurred if the activities are small but huge return as you can realize how the market react.
Find out the GAAP and offer them the same through ON line if your customer segment could be reached through on line.
