What are the best web tools/mobile apps for productivity?
Which tools/apps will best enable me to start my own business and maintain a high level of productivity? Which do you prefer and recommend? I'm looking to start an app-development company and seem to be juggling 100 tasks each day.
I like Evernote, JotNot and simple project management tools like Teamwork
Evernote is great to keep track of project details.
Trello is probably more down your alley in terms of a lightweight, web-based project management tool. Nice, easy drag/drop and bulletin board functionality.
As has already been mentioned, Everrnote is a great productivity resource/tool. However, what is often lacking is information on how to implement the tool productively. Here is a link with good direction on how use Evernote with your email client to be productive. www.thesecretweapon.org/
You might want to consider SpringPad (https://springpad.com/) for iPhone and iPad, or Android
I use Insightly (http://www.insightly.com) for CRM, Lead development, Project Management and Task Management. For small companies free of charge. Also for mobile and tablet.
Keeping your time registered is always a great tool for enhancing productivity. I use http://www.yanomo.com/, also with mobile app and for small businesses this costs $ 5 per month. A great tool. Keeping time is probably the best productivity enhancer, it will give you great insights in how you spend your time and what has been productive and not. Highly recommended!
If you like, you can connect these two with https://zapier.com/ or build your own interface, as Insightly makes the API available.
JotNot Pro -- allows you to create pdf files from hardcopy with your smartphone and email them. Cool. You can fax them too -- for a fee.
For one of our projects we use Trello. It works across multiple devices and tablets as well as having a web interface. You can assign people to teams and projects and it has a very SCRUM feel to it but I use if for tech and non-tech projects.
I am pretty sure it's free, but I could be wrong. I've had it on my phone for a while and don't remember.
I love and use evernote everyday! It's cross platform. I also love LastPass. It's an encrypted password vault, and is one of the best out there, and extremely affordable.
