what are the weaknesses of McDonald in developing countries?
related to its marketing and cosumers
McDonalds has one of the most powerful and successful systems in history of franchising! Yes their food is not the greatest or healthiest, but their system makes them so successful. In countries that are developing where food is prepared differently, yes they may have difficulty. How McDonald's would battle this problem would be to target that countries tourist areas and establish its presents there. There are always a vast variety of tourist that will always be in need of comfort food. There will also be locals from these countries who have heard great things about McDonald's and will be excited to try a Big Mac! We all can make burgers that will greatly exceed the quality of McDonald, But the word has traveled over the years and will continue to for years to come. They could take into consideration the religious beliefs in regard to food, but that would shake up their system. It can be done, but will they if needed...
Companies like McDonald's have a battle with saving money by creating a uniform brand internationally, while at the same time catering to individual regions' tastes. Those areas where fast-food is popular McDonald's has done well internationally. In developing countries where food is prepared differently, McDonald's must compete with local dishes that with their more western cooking style might not be able to replicate. Therefore, customers will not take to it as much because they may feel that the way McDonald's cooks their food (albeit most likely with an attempt to appeal to these regions) may not truly appeal to their tastes in food, and at a greater level, their culture.
its terrible food if you even call it food. Chemicals. There are no actual stoves/traditional cooking processes used in food preparation its all microwaved.
