What ideas have you used for a team session on improving team work?
I have done sessions using Belbin and other specifics on team communication but want to do a 2 hour session for a team of 12 to really help enhance how they work as a team.
For 25 years, I have been selling and supporting one of the very best team building simulations in the world (based on user feedback surveys) and we have a global network of users and consultants that can support challenges for 12 to 500 people in one event. The exercise is called, The Search for The Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine, and it is easy to find information about it online. We also sell a number of game designs like Seven Seas Quest, the Collaboration Journey Challenge and Innovate & Implement at a number of price points.
My games are complete packages with instructional and delivery and debriefing materials, with the latter being by far the most important factor. Being able to relate the play of the game directly back into the operation of the business has been a primary driving force in all of these designs. We also developed the Square Wheels toolkits for communications and engagement. These ask participants to share some Square Wheels and then to develop Round Wheel possibilities through team collaboration and discussions. Implementation is the key, but changing the language of innovation and thinking is a powerful culture-change tool.

Hi Jacqui, it depends on what the issue is! All too often managers and businesses use a generic solution which more often than not doesn't have the desired result. E.g. A lack of role clarity (often part of a problem) is dealt with differently to a team that aren't cohesive. My advice, talk to a team behavioural expert about it and anyone worth their salt will uncover the potential underlying needs and build you a customised solution to accelerate your investment.
