What is best book in Digital Marketing for learning and to become an expert?
I want to get full knowledge about the digital media marketing, new technology, new systems of promotion, SEO, SEM, CPC, PPC, SMM, etc. in order to learn and add value to my resume and my general understanding of the modern technique of digital marketing. With those subject in mind, what is the best book or resources to read?
I strongly recommend you these three books:
1-The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business is Selling Less of More, by Chris Anderson;
2-Web Analytics: An Hour a Day, by Avinash Kaushik (check his blog: http://www.kaushik.net/avinash/ );
3-Marketing 3.0: From Products to Customers to the Human Spirit, by Philip Kotler.
Coursera is also offering a course in Digital Marketing. You can either choose to pay for a Specialization Certificate, or subscribe to each subject and later receive a certificate of completion, which is free: https://www.coursera.org/specialization/digitalmarketing/21

Going to promote my old boss, Bruce Clay. SEO for Dummies, there have been a 2 editions. http://www.bruceclay.com/seo/seofordummies.htm as well as a content marketing book http://www.amazon.com/Content-Marketing-Strategies-Professionals-Communicate/dp/1494390280/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8
Perry Marshalls book Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords has a lot of useful information about AdWords but also very profitable insights to online marketing as a whole.
Look at anything released by HOW.com. Also think about AIGA, the Graphic design guild, or the Freelancers Union.
"25 Website Must Haves For Driving Traffic, Leads, and Sales" by Trent Dyrsmid was a great starting point for me. It provides an overview of how to optimize websites for increased traffic and sales. I now know pretty much what I need to do. Most of all it has motivated me to investigate the right topics. I learned how to ensure my site gets found, how to make a killer first impression, how to develop authoritative content, and most importantly, how to convert visitors into leads.
Rajendra, in the detail behind your question you say you want to learn SEO, SEM, CPC, PPC, SMM and Google Analytics. This means you have done some reading already. This book is an easy read and summary of best practices for marketing. I loved it. This book is well researched and quotes authoritative sources when making claims. Love that too. But at best it is a summary of best practices for marketing. One reviewer suggested that the book makes a great guide to give clients. I agree.
Now for the best news. The Kindle edition is a free download at Amazon.com. While you are there you might want to download "Digital Minds: 12 Things Every Business Needs to Know About Digital Marketing." It too is available as a free Kindle download. The sales pitch for WSI at the end of "Digital Minds" is its biggest fault.
