What project management app is best for a complex project?
I am working for a small team of 5 people but a complex project. The project has multiple milestones and complex dependencies. A management app that integrates with Google apps and the iOS would be really helpful. Does anyone know of a free or relatively affordable project management app that can help us?
Given your requirements for the best free project management app for Google apps and iOS, I recommend Pivotal Tracker. If you remove the "free" restriction, I would suggest Basecamp. You might also want to take a look at Wrike. Each vendor has their own style and one may suit your needs better than the other.

You may use mantis for project management. Many of us know that Mantis is a defect tracking tool. However if utilized and configured in correct method, you can even use it for project management.
For complex project management, I found all the big names like Basecamp and Proofhub really fall short, very simplistic. We encountered the same problem and have since landed on www.Dooster.net as our project manager. Quite good, I recommend it.
I like the flexibility that Mindview Business Edition provides. It allows the switch between mindmapping for brainstorming, to a gantt view for dependencies and them a roadmap view to impress the execs. To export out to documents and ms project is quick and powerful. The Windows version is more robust than the Mac version. The drawback is it is pricy.
Please try "https://app.asana.com"
This is very good project management tool
I would recommend that you try out dooster.net. The milestones and task dependencies features are great. It is also completely compatible with Google, you can integrate contacts and calenders and so on which has saved me so much time. You can use dooster on any apple device simply making it a shortcut on your home screen (I use this most on my iPhone as I am always on the go and it has been really reliable). Also, they dont charge by user - they charge by the amount of projects - very reasonable too.
My advice to go with JIRA, a proprietary issue tracking product, developed by Atlassian. It provides bug tracking, issue tracking, and project management functions and very help to manage complex project with high end UI/UX.
